Anyone else's grandkids go on this last week - and have a whale of a time, despite the rotten weather?

My GS missed camp this holiday (not sure if it was Cubjam) as they were booked to go away. He usually loves to go though. I think it's very good for them - fosters independence and they have fun.

This was the big one they hold every three years at Gilwell Park in Essex. About 1200 cubs take part, from all over the UK. Even the Chief Scout, Bear Grylls, dropped by this time. Younger GS had a great time.

Yes my Grandaughter went ! Came back with clean hands and face and a tide ark round her wrists and neck you had to see to believe !!

She had the ...and I quote....best time ever!!

Tide mark... Not ark.....although it was wet enough!

Ah! I'm so glad someone else on here knows about it. smile

NandG I don't think my GS touched water all the week! grin His mum has just about got the mud out of his socks too.

They're a great lot, the helpers. flowers and wine all round for them, I say. smile
