pompa I didn't realise that was you but you can see the support you have on here and the strength of feeling this ridiculous response by someone at GNHQ has generated.

Oh they probably did read it ann but just went ahead anyway. How cowardly they are not to stand and be counted. Churlish and childish.

I agree with annsixty someone just read the title, didn't bother reading the actual post and decided to they were offended. Whoever it was reminds me of something my grandmother said "she would walk 3 miles over broken glass in her bare feet just to get her feelings hurt".

Doesn't wash with me Gracesgran I can find no extenuating reasons for reporting. Posts are there to be read not to be reacted on without reading the content.

How very small minded of someone to report you for what I read as a light hearted post. There's always someone who will take everything so seriously. I would stay and let whoever it is know that you intend to carry on being yourself.

Just a P.S. Of course I was told about contentious titles because someone ... I wonder who ... complained to GNHQ - it happens.

What a fuss. As some of you have realised I am quite happy to report something that I feel is outwith the GN rules - that is what the moderators ask us to do. I am also very happy to explain, if it seems worthwhile, why I have. Don't shout at me; I didn't report this but I can see why someone has and, as It is GNHQs job to keep the forum going on the right lines I think they should be supported and a little thought go into why they might have sent and email (they don't seem to have done anything else).

I saw the title and didn't even read the thread but just sighed and thought "not on here too"; perhaps someone did the same but thought it should be reported as outside what GN stands for. What did GNHQ say was their reason for contacting you? I would say GandTea/Pompa (why two names?) that, as so many people think the post was funny your comedic skills did not extend to timing. Some of the UK and GN in particular are like a tinder box at the moment and sooooo many people get upset very easily. I wonder why you didn't realise that your title (I have been told about contentious titles in the past) would get the reaction it did.

Don't leave!! I didn't read the "offending" thread (I'm not a gardener - I can even kill ivy!), I have now read through it and have found nothing that could be deemed offensive. Your posts are always informative and good humoured. I agree with Indinana, the person/people who took offence should contact you and apologise, as should GNHQ. Please Stay!!
