Maybe, jenty61. I do hope that is the case.

perhaps the taxi driver was a relative or it could possibly have been cheaper for the two women to get a taxi home rather than a bus or it could have been something the food bank provides for those with no transport....food banks do not just dish food out to anyone its the doctors, health visitors, schools and social workers who identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher. This entitles them to receive a foodbank parcel of three days’ nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food.

Perhaps they are not on a bus route? Or the buses don't run frequently, I don't know I just think a taxi is a luxury, but may be that is my mother's indoctrination as she would walk or bus it and I do the same.

He has just come home from shopping (struggling from the town centre, up the hill with shopping bags) and walked past the local food bank centre. He saw two women come out with bags of shopping, straight into a taxi.

I am trying to think of some reasons why this might have happened, but struggling.....
