Good morning, Michael. Hope you manage to feel a little better as the day goes on. I've had to do it a couple of times and it's not easy at all. A bright day in prospect here in South Yorkshire, if a little breezy, so I am off for the fishing day I promised myself, to Ladybower. In case the fish elude me - again - I have two sea bass fillets with rocket and pesto butter in the fridge awaiting my return! Have a good day Gransnetters.

Good morning to you all, not a bad morning here, and not a lot planned, slept late. Why is it I can wake at 5 am when it is too early to get up, toss and turn for an hour and a half, look at my watch, say "five more minutes" then promptly fall asleep again for an hour?
Sad day for you Mick, take it easy with the memories which always come flooding back at times like this, hope some are happy ones.
For the rest of you I hope you enjoy your days.

We are at the opposite end of life here at present with two family births overdue.
Hair cut today so I can see out from under my fringe.

Thinking of you Mick as you sort out your Dad's home and say goodbye to a lot of memories no doubt. Chin up - it has to be done and he would want it to be you rather than a stranger dealing with his things.

It's cloudy here on the south coast but forecast to brighten up later so I have the washing on ready to hang out.

A bit of shopping, a lot of ironing and a visit to mum for me today.

Sorry you are feeling low, it is very depressing isn't it Mick.. The end of an era and memories of happier times. Be kind to yourself.

We all seem to be involved with our older relatives one way or another today.

I have that same job waiting for me Mick, my father died in November and mum went into a care home, I still can't face it. Wishing you all the best, hope you have company.
Cloudy here too. Long drive from Lancashire to Kent today.

Oh Mick! Sorry to hear you are feeling so low. Sorting out deceased relatives stuff is not the happiest of things to do. Perhaps you could treat yourself today and do something you enjoy to balance your emotion?

Dull here and not particularly warm. Off to mums today, do some shopping and jobs for her.
