Have you made your mind up about the referendum?

I was an 'stayer' however, the more I hear of people who have no real 'interest' in our country predicting doom and gloom - I am changing my views. I listened to IDS on the radio this morning: he's not a member of a political party I support but I totally agreed with what he said regarding our exit of the EU!

Out, and Europe will miss us more, Fed up with being controlled by Europe.

But Jane, the EU evolved from the Common Market but now it's become more of a power base, a political party, a power bloc even. The dominant figure has been Angela Merkel, whom I admire as a strong woman, but not as the person who seems to be determining our future.

We are not leaving Europe. We will always be Europeans, but I don't see that we've ever been joined by a cultural, or economical umbilical cord to say Greece, or Slovenia. We aren't in charge of it either. The democracy of the EU, a vast area, seems bewildering to me. I am not sure much of what is going on is in our interests. And the cost of membership is ludicrous.

I've been dithering for ages but I think I will vote OUT. I try to ignore the fact that Boris, Gove and UKIP are heading the campaign just as I dislike the scare tactics from the remainers and being 'nudged' by Obama.

I would vote leave as Euro bureaucracy annoys me and worried about the migrant situation. However I am buying a house in Spain and we may move there in a few years so for personal reasons will probably vote to stay.

Yes, my vote has always been to leave. Like some of you have mentioned I think Boris is doing more harm than good to the leave vote. I am beginning to think he has been planted in the "out" side to make sure more people vote to stay. Also thinking that the so-called information we are getting now is increasingly alarmist on both sides. They all have their own agendas so can we believe anything they say. It will be down to gut instinct.

We joined a 'common market' which I voted for. That is not what we are in now...

I am inclined to vote out, my reasoning being that the whole EU gravy train is too cumbersome to work well. If one country wants to make something happen and needs the OK of all the others, these others (even if they agree with the proposal) are likely to use their leverage to try and get deals on other things they want in order to buy their support. And so it all grinds slowly on.

If only the spokespeople for out were not the Kippers and Barmy Boris!

I shall vote to remain.
I'm not swayed by the puerile economic arguments about whether individuals will be better or worse off in either event - as if anyone could forecast that accurately anyway.
We are Europeans and for me it's the idealism of a united Europe dedicated to maintaining world peace and stability, and improving the lives of all its citizens.

I agree NanKate. It's a shame Boris Johnson tends to be the spokesman as I am not a fan of his. However, the arguments for leaving outweigh the reasons for staying imo, and when all is said and done, it's not about personalities, it's about what is best for us. I want us free of the EU. My friend who lives just south of Paris reckons the French are now wanting a referendum about the EU too. We might stay and the French could get out in a couple of years time. I think the EU is on shaky ground.

Absolutely- OUT asap. If I hadn't made up my mind before that American lecturing us on what to do on Today on radio 4 this morning that would have done the trick.
Ruled by Germans & lectured by USA- no thanks. I've looked at both sides & if we finish up like Norway we would be a much better country. I'm sick to death of all the scaremongering. We're not children- we can see the facts for ourselves- yes the £ will dip for a week or so but our trade agreements over the world will improve dramatically very quickly. My only fear is how they will try to drag the thing out. WE will need a strong leader to move it along & Cameron knows he is not that man hence all the scare tactics.

The same as marmoset. Slightly firmer decision to remain but then I hear someone I respect say the opposite and I wobble. I think my heart still says out but my head says remain.

To be honest I think the polls showed a reaction to Johnsons nonsense. He really is the limit and doing the Brexit camp no favours whatsoever.

Yes. - , DS said yesterday that a poll showed 60% remain 30% leave, which sent the £ back up and stock market responded positively. I am not convinced that the poll is correct though.

Me too Day6 however I am rather disappointed in Boris' performance which is too buffoonish.
