You feel what you feel mrsdof. if you feel something then it's a valid emotion.

If you get on well with your dil, can you ask her? Do you think she thought it was a bit close to home and too soon to include you without it upsetting you? Quite insensitive to bring the form round.

Best wishes for your continued recovery.

I would be upset as well. She was being very unkind not to include you no matter how far along the journey you both are.
However you are a braver woman than me to alter the form !!

My ex DIL has just brought my DGD round as we take her to school on Mondays and Tuesdays. She has brought with her a sponsorship form for a Walk for Life that my DGD is doing at school on Friday. On the form my ex DIL has put that my DGD is doing it for her granny in Scotland who is a breast cancer survivor. I am also a breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed 18 months ago and still has 4yrs to go to be classed as completely free of cancer. Her mother, who I get on quite well with was diagnosed approx. 8 yrs ago and has therefore be given the all clear. My hands are shaking at the moment as I am so upset and angry about this. I amended the form to add myself but I dare say she won't mention it when she sees the form. Am I being overly sensitive? I can't believe how much this has upset me as I feel it is quite a spiteful thing to do and I always thought I got on very well with my Ex-DIL. She and my DS had an amicable split a couple of years ago and everything has been fine since. angry and sad
