I am higorant but what's the difference between a fawn and a deer? Is a fawn a baby deer?

wot Mon 16-May-16 13:13:59

soop Mon 16-May-16 13:11:26

Has bags made some celebratory flapjacks? grin

soop Mon 16-May-16 13:10:03

Have an appointment at a Glasgow hospital (next week) for a pre-assessment prior to procedure under anaesthetic.

A fawn visited the garden fence this morning. Mother loitered in the shadows. She knew that her youngster was safe with us.

soop Mon 16-May-16 12:54:29

I would dance a jig if I didn't have dodgy hips. grin

Cherrytree Welcome to the kitchen. Sit yourself down. Champagne for you? or would you prefer a brew? Isn't this a joyful occasion.

soop Mon 16-May-16 12:48:25

I hope they do keep your daughter in for another night. I bet the whole family could do with a restful night. Enjoy your cuddles with him.

Nelliemoser Mon 16-May-16 11:53:31

Yeah congratulations! Alea Here we grans are again swooning and celebrating a lovely new baby again. We all want a virtual cuddle.

Alea Mon 16-May-16 11:19:35

Babies being nature's way of getting back at the teenage years when they either kept us up worrying about where they were or woke us up coming in at 5 am!!

Charleygirl Mon 16-May-16 10:56:33

Alea I think that your SIL could do with a good 8 hours sleep before the baby and his wife come home. Let's face it, it will be the last undisturbed night he may have for many years to come!

Alea Mon 16-May-16 10:50:44

Hoping actually they give DD another night as she only got to the ward after 2, and was frankly exhausted by Saturday morning! My goodness wasn't it different in our day? I had 8 days each time (C sections) with enforced bed rest before lunch which at the time seemed so long, but once home and the reality kicked in, sometimes I longed for a friendly nurse and another pair of hands, especially in the middle of the night!!

Charleygirl Mon 16-May-16 10:44:02

He is absolutely gorgeous- I do not know about your DD and SIL but we have all had a very long labour! It had to be a boy, lagging behind for so long! I am assuming that all the family will be home sometime today? He is so peaceful, he has no idea how many folk have been biting their nails waiting for his arrival.

I hope that Grace is not going to feel jealous.

Bellanonna Mon 16-May-16 10:18:04

Oh, absolutely gorgeous alea. Poor SIL, it's all been very exhausting for him! Hope the champagne's cooling nicely, hope you get to see the little one soon, and hope we get all those essential details before too long. ?

ffinnochio Mon 16-May-16 10:02:41

Congratulations, Alea ! He'll bring many years of sunshine to you all! flowers

Alea Mon 16-May-16 09:54:35

Photo at 4.25 -or should be!
However, if you twist my arm I will repost.
DD3 has taken food into the hospital for them (!) , prob more the sort of things they like than average hospital food and said she saw SIL but not mum and baby who got to the ward around 2. SIL is still shell shocked probably somewhere between cloud 9 and comatose after 3 days and nights and was unable to give birth weight, name or even how the baby arrived - clearly his ante natal preparation had NOT quite prepared him for this smile

annodomini Mon 16-May-16 09:54:17
