Nowty, where I come from, means in a bad, crotchety mood.
NandG, how much more of your holiday is there left to go? Loving the pics of the cute little boys.

NanaandGrampy Wed 18-May-16 22:34:57

Oooh Kitty what's a ' nowty mood' ???

I love that , I might even want one smile

Charleygirl Wed 18-May-16 22:16:32

That baby is just gorgeous and looks as though butter would not melt in his mouth but I would think that he has a very healthy pair of lungs. He is so loved, especially by his grandparents and that blanket is beautiful, just what the little mite needed.

numberplease Wed 18-May-16 21:50:21

What a gorgeous baby, Alea! I want one! Love the name as well, if that is going to be the final decision.
Kitty, good that the thread has been deleted, but I wish I`d seen Grumpa`s response before it all disappeared. Thank goodness for this oasis of calm.

cornergran Wed 18-May-16 21:38:24

Such a beautiful little boy. Alea, he is simply gorgeous. Hope they are safely settled at home and can all relax. The pictures lifted my spirits, left a warm feeling. Kitty I stopped reading that thread a few pages in, it was so destructive on all sorts of levels, I'm sorry it left you with anger but am pleased it hasnt hurt you. A dangerous space! I know many have said it before about a variety of distance communication but it certainly can encourage inappropriate comment, whether by text, email or in a forum. Kindness and good old common sense often seems to be missing. As others have said I'm pleased to have this safe and thoughtful place to come to. Thank you all, soop especially. I'm out with friends all day tomorrow so may not get back until Friday.

Someone suggested the cushion to me when I had a fall the other week and hurt my knees. I didn't try it but had heard of the recommendation before.

dustyangel Wed 18-May-16 20:38:55

I hope it all goes smoothly Lona. It must be helpful to have the same agent for both properties. sunshine
Lemon drizzle cake sounds good, I have never, ever had a real home made one. shock Since you first brought one into the kitchen, in the interests of research I have tried various commercial ones, I think I'll have to try making one myself soon. wink

soop on the off chance that you look at your computer again tonight. Do yo sleep with a pillow or cushion between your legs? Over the years various 'experts' have suggested that for my back pain, it hasn't helped that for me but a few years ago I tried it yet again and it cured the mysterious pain in my shins that I had been having. A small cushion suits me best.

Jalima Wed 18-May-16 20:32:33

Lovely photos of the new arrival (and of you and your DH of course!). Congratulations all round and I'm glad he is well now. It is worrying when DDs go 'through the mill', I remember when it was DD1 who was so poorly after DGS's traumatic entry into the world. I was glad that she stayed in for a week afterwards.

I missed the upset on the thread kitty but I can guess which thread it was hmm. Hope you are feeling better now that you have stuffed yourself with cake had a nice sliver of cake.

DGD and I made cakes today but unfortunately DH has just eaten the last one. We did get through quite a lot of spoons as she kept licking them and I kept saying No-o-o-o! and throwing them into the washing up bowl before they went back into the mix. TMI!

Crafting Wed 18-May-16 20:16:27

Oh huff. I know you are Lona not Lorna blush sorry I've imbibed too much!

kittylester Wed 18-May-16 20:15:26

Thank you Lona! I love lemon drizzle cake! smile I was cross rather than upset. I've been in a nowty mood all day and that tipped me over the edge. Anyway cake and a sit down will make me feel better. I do hope you get the flat you like.

Crafting Wed 18-May-16 20:14:53

Oooh Lorna I love your lemon drizzle. Can I have some too (winsome smile )?

Alea what lovely photos and what a beautiful boy, you must be thrilled.

Soop what a lovely place you have created where we can all return for comforting hugs when the outside world of GN gets a bit tough. Safe and secure in the knowledge we are all here to support each other.

Lona Wed 18-May-16 19:51:54

Lovely photos Alea, he is really adorable and your blanket looks pretty good too sunshine
I've been busy today trying to ensure that I can rent a really nice flat that I viewed yesterday! I'm not in a position to commit yet, but it's marketed by the same agent that's selling my house, and they're pulling out all the stops to help me.
I must have filled in at least a million a lot of forms this afternoon ready to return to the solicitor tomorrow! I'm trying not to get over excited! grin

soop they must know how important you are, to have arranged an X-ray so quickly. I hope they can help with your painful shin.

Kitty I don't know who was horrid to you, but don't pay any attention. I've made you my famous lemon drizzle cake to cheer you up! smilesunshine

NanaandGrampy Wed 18-May-16 19:39:08

Ooh Alea what a lovely set of photos ! Your joy just radiates out of the picture. I see your lovely blanket was put to good use!!

How proud you must all be !

Huge congratulations xx

kittylester Wed 18-May-16 19:35:37

soop, I agree about alea's hair - it looks lovely. As does that gorgeous little boy! Let us know the final choice of names. I'm sorry I'd didn't get to see your riposte, Alea grin

dustyangel Wed 18-May-16 18:14:30

He is absolutly gorgeous Alea . I'm not surprised you're both besotted. smile

soop Wed 18-May-16 18:07:32

By the way...Alea I like your hairstyle. smile

soop Wed 18-May-16 18:06:36

Oh, Alea What a darling poppet your grandson is. I can see the family likeness. MacSporran agrees that baby is like you. I wish that I could hold him for a wee while. Does he have that "new-born scent"? You and your husband look extremely happy. This wee lad is going to be loved to bits. I like the name Flynn. It will be interesting to learn what name it is that his mummy and daddy finally choose.

Thank you. What a super note on which to close my computer. Back tomorrow for more smile. x

Bellanonna Wed 18-May-16 18:03:24

Lovely portrait in both pictures I mean

Bellanonna Wed 18-May-16 18:01:58

Ahhhhh cuteissimo. Gorgeous. Lovely portrait of you both. Wishing much joy to all the family.

Alea Wed 18-May-16 17:55:31

I was furious at how you were treated kittyl and at that poster's comments, but the thread was deleted before I could post my articulate and immaculately crafted response!
Anyway,
We are back and I definitely have a new man in my life!!
He is the gorgeousest squidgiest little bundle and both DH and I are besotted.
DD is much more with it and may actually be home now as little 'un's latest blood test was clear and his cannula was taken out while we were there.
He may possibly be called Flynn which will,go well with his surname, but they want to make that decision in their home, away from the artificial atmosphere of hospital. smilesmilesmile]

soop Wed 18-May-16 17:36:48

Charleyg...don't even go there. Bracken is enjoying her freedom together with the bonus of good food, a place to sit with her Pa in the evening an, a carpeted lodge for when it rains...grin

annsixty I hope that mother cat gets to stay with you and her kitts. We no longer see mother cat. She is very dainty when compared with her daughter.

varian the moles have created havoc in our garden. Some of the paving slabs have become disturbed over the course of the years. We see evidence of mole activity mostly in our back garden.

Has anyone news of pompa? It's been some time since he last called in for a brew

Galen Wed 18-May-16 17:28:18

I see they're deleting it! Quite right!

kittylester Wed 18-May-16 17:27:48

Thanks Crafting, I saw it - it made me grin

Crafting Wed 18-May-16 17:19:39

hmm cupcake

Crafting Wed 18-May-16 17:18:50

Kitty I'm not surprised you've come to the kitchen to calm down shock do well to stay away from that thread I think. (mind you, if you pop back quickly to read grumpa's response, it might raise a grin) Here have a [cake] and a wine or two.
