Goodness me! I have missed a lot!!

I hope you have recovered from all that hassle soop. Our NHS is fantastic but the managers (my personal bugbear) do forget that there are actual people involved. DH works in Units of Activity which doesn't help people think about the patients - maybe that's the idea! I feel so sorry for your friend

Have a really super holiday Galen and make sure you look after our Bella and, both of you, behave!! wine

Lona, I occasionally get those funny eye things and I panic everytime that it won't stop. strange as it's not as though you've been under any stress lately, is It! grin

Alea, I currently have 2 Dgc here doing just that! I hope you dh isn't brewing anything. You've had enough of that.

Galen Thu 02-Jun-16 16:11:05

Why?

soop Thu 02-Jun-16 16:20:22

Galen Don't go all coy. Us lot know you too well. I'm hoping that the butler (if you're to have one on the boat on which you and Bella will be afloat)knows what he's in for. Bet he'll wear both belt and braces--if he has any sense-- grin

Alea I agree. Your husband has had a great deal of poorliness to cope with recently. Please may he begin to recover before too long.

MacSporran is making a brew...it is a glorious afternoon. Rory is sitting in the shade under a shrub. He has barely moved beyond his own shadow all day through.

GandTea my grass seed is coming up as well, it might regret it - have gone from 20 deg yesterday to 11 deg today. Managed a bit of gardening before I gave in to a hot cup of tea and have not ventured out again.

Charleygirl Thu 02-Jun-16 17:09:17

As I write this, the heating is on yet again. We may see sun here on Sunday.

Tizliz Thu 02-Jun-16 17:09:24

Soop I see you have all the sun today and tomorrow, cold and cloudy here. The furthest I have managed today was to get the wheelie bin from the end of the road, it is too cold for anything else.

Sorry about your friend, it is a b****er getting old - for yourself and your loved ones.

Tizliz Thu 02-Jun-16 17:10:47

Charleygirl I also won £25 on the lottery ?

soop Thu 02-Jun-16 17:15:48

I'm sorry to hear that many of our Kitcheners have lousy weather. It's hard to believe that some of you need the heating on. It really is hot here. There is also a light, refreshing breeze (keeping the midges at bay).

Are those of us lot enjoying the tennis? This tournament doesn't have the same atmosphere as Wimbledon. I feel that tennis best suits a grass court.

A group (((hug))) for our lovely Granspals.

soop Thu 02-Jun-16 17:16:29

Tizliz Bravo! smile

Tizliz Thu 02-Jun-16 17:24:01

Not sure if I should spend it or keep for my retirement ?

Actually it is the second £25 in 4 weeks, but nothing before that for a year

Bellanonna Thu 02-Jun-16 17:24:46

Charleygirl my heating has been on too. It's really cold out as well. But a change is promised. Fingers crossed.

Charleygirl Thu 02-Jun-16 17:24:46

I watched a lot of Serena Williams this pm but I could not stand one of the female commentators, she would or could not shut up.

At least having the heating on dries my clothes.

Nelliemoser Thu 02-Jun-16 17:40:20

Shhh! It's turned out quite warm in Cheshire. The wind is a bit cool but the sun is warm.

GandTea Thu 02-Jun-16 17:41:47

Tizliz, invest it without a doubt. OR, put another lump of coal on the fire. Back to winter here.

Jalima Thu 02-Jun-16 17:47:30

Tizliz save some, spend some.
Here's a song to help you:

It was really cold this morning, like winter. However at about 3 o'clock the sun came out and it's lovely now!

annodomini Thu 02-Jun-16 18:00:45

It was quite warm when I wandered down to the garage to collect my car, though its thermometer said only about 16C. I put the heating on this morning to warm the house up before I had to get up.

Sorry not to have been about much for a couple of days, it was my birthday yesterday, and it was taken up a lot by visitors, phone calls, and return calls.
Soop, I hope you`re recovering from all the hassle, kerpuffle and buggeration, they`ve no right to be upsetting people that way, especially someone as easygoing and pleasant as you.
It`s cold here as well, although the ice cream man informed me that it`s going to be 28 degrees next week.

soop Thu 02-Jun-16 18:19:33

It's that time yet again. How do I know? Rory has stirred. Rory has mewed (quietly). Bracken is sitting on the tree stump and staring towards the kitchen window. Out with cat bowls and then, I should read today's newspaper.

I'm wishing you all a peaceful and pleasant evening.

Tomorrow we shall be visiting our pal in the care home. MacSporran will note how much he has changed since last week. Just as soon as I'm able, I shall pop into our kitchen to catch up with the latest happenings.

Stay safe (and warm) wink moon

soop Thu 02-Jun-16 18:21:09

kittylester Thu 02-Jun-16 18:59:12

Tizliz Thu 02-Jun-16 19:46:17

poompa hasn't been around lately either

cornergran Thu 02-Jun-16 19:57:53

Lovely sunny day here today. Hugs to all managing life's custard pies. Throw them back if you can. smile

Lona Thu 02-Jun-16 21:00:20

number hope you enjoyed your birthday and your family spoiled you flowers ???

numberplease Thu 02-Jun-16 22:09:39

I was spoiled regarding presents Lona, but life otherwise went on as usual. I had £50 off hubby, Red Door perfume from daughter 1, £10 from daughter 2, pyjamas, Avon perfume and matching body spray from daughter 3, £5 off son 1, and £10 from son 2. Plus a pretty wrap and a make up bag from a very good friend. So altogether I was very lucky.
Thank you for the birthday wishes.
