Bella and I have some hard decisions to make when we first board Royal Princess.
Eg:- which restaurant do we try first?
The seafood one
The pizzeria
The snack bar
The English type pub one
The all day buffet
The Crown Grill ( supplement price)
Sabatinis ( supplement) but superb Italian
Or
The ordinary everyday restaurant?

Decisions, decisions! How will we manage?
We could end up starving to death through indecision.

I doubt that very much Galen! Why not try them out in alphabetical order? We only had 2 choices on the Marco Polo, unless you count the poolside snack bar.
My thoughts are with you Bellasnana.
My my, that is SOME cake! It must have taken a lot of skill and patience to make.

I keep meaning to say Soop, I don`t know if your doctor is with the practice at Muasdale surgery, but when we were last up there, I`d had a bad fall shortly before our holiday, and the stitches were still in, I was told to attend the nearest surgery up there to have them removed, and they were kindness personified at Muasdale surgery. I was wondering because you said you carried on to Campbeltown afterwards. They must have had nearly the proverbial armful by now!

Bellasnana Wed 25-May-16 03:26:33

Well Galen, you can cross off the pizzeria as I consider it children's party food grin
I don't eat meat, but any restaurant that serves a nice, cold glass of white wine will suit me very well wink

loopylou Wed 25-May-16 10:46:46

Decisions, decisions Galen ?

Right, the bags of clothes and boxes of crockery and assorted China have gone to the charity shop and I'm feeling virtuous and somewhat embarrassed at just how much clothing I owned! Now I'm definitely retired I can't see me ever needing half of what I had in the wardrobes so hopefully someone else will benefit even found clothes with labels still on them?
I'm making a real effort to wear more than the same few items too, DH keeps asking 'Is that new?' which is somewhat disconcerting!

It seems very strange no to have to be 'doing' anything in particular too.........

Charleygirl Wed 25-May-16 12:35:12

I am not vegetarian but I would be in the seafood restaurant probably daily. I loathe pizzas and like Bellasnana more than one glass of cold dry white wine would be very acceptable. I would probably finish the cruise resembling a house in size.

soop Wed 25-May-16 14:57:36

Hello to our lovely Kitcheners The sun most definitely has his hat on. I've finished my weekly ironing duties. Now enjoying a much appreciated coffee.

number You are correct. Muasdale surgery is superb in every way. And the view across the sea is glorious.

loopylou you are a lady after my own heart. A very large portion of my wardrobe is in the caring hands of the Red Cross shop. A scarlet jacket (unworn) now graces the wedding season window display. I'm happy that someone will enjoy a bargain and the charity will benefit too.

Galen you are the best tonic for Bellasnana. I know beyond a shadow of doubt that the pair of you are going to have a wild wondrous time afloat in that boat. Have the crew been warned. wink

Portrait (number four) is about to be mastered. Lots of good vibes, if you please. smile

Below...last night's sunset and this morning's early visitor.

NanaandGrampy Wed 25-May-16 15:04:07

Good morning all!

I am hoping there is a slice of that amazing cake going spare 'Dustyangel*! Cake making is note my forte so yours is hugely impressive ! Yes funnel cake it poured through a funnel and it is addictive lol but of so messy ! Icing sugar just goes so far!!

Alea nearly choked on my coffee at the thought of us lot in grass skirts . Jackson and his Daddy did have a hula lesson from the wahine ( the lady playing the ukulele). Apparently the first hula was done by the Warriors so he was happy to try. They all got a lei to look the part and at the end they had to give it to the person they love and he ran over to his mummy and gave her his.

The food was served family style, in that they serve large bowls to the table and you serve yourself. It was a lovely experience for the boys, and I am proud of their growing confidence in talking to other grown ups.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about the cruise experiences Galen , I've never been but have always wanted to try.

Today is the families last day so they are doing all their last minute stuff hilts Mummy tries to pack too.

We head off to Cape Coral tomorrow without them and it's going to be a quiet week, I think I'm missing them already !!

Lona Wed 25-May-16 15:51:10

Hello smile dusty that's not just a cake, it's heaven on a plate! Thank goodness it's virtual grin

Bella another ((hug)) I'm glad you had a good cry, I think it's better out than in.
I'm also sure that your dh wouldn't want you to be unhappy ❤

I'm trying to relax and stop feeling sick while I await any developments in my house selling saga.
Like bella I've got my dgd coming later and she will distract me and give me lots of comforting cuddles! smile

NanaandGrampy You all look as though you've had an amazing time together and I'm sure you'll enjoy your week of peace even though you will miss those boys!
Soop Nil desperandum! smile

soop Wed 25-May-16 16:31:14

Lona...indeed! wink

Lovely, happy family photos NanaandGrampy. A whole treasure trove of memories to look back on. Cape Coral is an exotic name. The sand in your photo looks like sugar.

NanaandGrampy Wed 25-May-16 16:34:38

It's Disney sand soop which means it was probably sifted by hand by little minions lol !!

We tease the boys because we have persuaded them that all the little lizards we see sing! Whenever we see one Grampy can be heard softly singing ' we're H A P P Y , we're H A P PY ' !

I love that they totally believe it ! Xx

Charleygirl Wed 25-May-16 16:45:16

NanaandGrampy you all look as though you have had a fabulous holiday. Yes you will miss the two boys but I think that you both need a rest and can do whatever you want, one toe allowing!

Lona the selling process appears to have gone quite quickly-I know that you have not exchanged contracts yet but with luck that will happen fairly soon.

Bella it is a very sad time for you but you do have the cruise to look forward to in the very near future. I have a feeling that the crew will be happy when this cruise is over!!!

soop the deer is a very regular visitor but she does not have to worry about Rory- I doubt if he is awake long enough to notice the visit.

Tara spent the vast majority of yesterday catching up with sleep. She is now refreshed and out and about. This happens every few weeks.

moomin Wed 25-May-16 16:48:34

Just popped into the kitchen to say a belated "thinking of you" to Bellasnana for yesterday. A tough day for you

soop Wed 25-May-16 18:01:26

Charleyg Rory is a wee bit timid where the deer is concerned. He sits well away and tries to look laid-back and cooel. wink

Update on the paintings. One is beginning to please me.smile Sigh! The second is a trifle iffy. I shall give it one final sketch and trust that all will be satisfactory.

I shall be going to Glasgow tomorrow. Hospital appointment is early afternoon. It's possible that we'll not be back in time for me to pop into the kitchen. However, I know beyond a shadow of doubt that you lot will be prepared to give those Kitcheners in need of comfort plenty of support. It's what we do in our kitchen.

Have a peaceful evening, one and all. I shall be back with you on Friday afternoon.

Take good care of each other and don't go getting into mischief

moon

NanaandGrampy Wed 25-May-16 19:40:18

Mischief .??

Us??smile surely not !

Good luck tomorrow soop x

Charleygirl Wed 25-May-16 19:52:22

I agree, the very nest of luck tomorrow although it is rather belated.

Charleygirl Wed 25-May-16 19:55:13

That should be best, Tara walked over my keyboard.

Crafting Wed 25-May-16 21:12:47

soop hope all goes well tomorrow. Lovely photos again. How lucky you are to have such beautiful mornings and evenings to look out on every day. You certainly picked a good spot for your home.

nanaandgrampy what a lovely time you have had with your family and such smashing photos to remember it by.

Still got everything crossed for your house sale Lona which makes going to the loo vey difficult hope you get good news soon

numberplease Wed 25-May-16 22:20:24

All the very best for tomorrow Soop, xx Love the sunset!

kittylester Thu 26-May-16 07:37:57

Too late for you to see this before you go soop but I am sending my best wishes for you today.flowers

Lona, I have everything crossed for your house move although having a shower is proviing difficult. grin

Enjoy your rest after all the excitement of your young visitors nandg.

We are going home after a few days in Suffolk feeling rested and well fed and watered. It will be nice to see how the garden is doing.

moomin Thu 26-May-16 07:45:22

All the best for today soop, hope it goes well

Lona Thu 26-May-16 08:13:52

?? crafting and kitty Don't blame me for all the damp patches!! Xx

Good luck soop sunshine

Tizliz Thu 26-May-16 08:36:12

All my cleaning, gardening and sorting out has caught up on me and I had to drag myself out of bed this morning. Had planned a day of cooking but will wait and see how I feel later, don't like this getting old.

cornergran Thu 26-May-16 08:40:49

Good luck soop, hope the outcome is helpful. Still envious of your stay in Suffolk kitty, so enjoyed living there. Each year we say 'we must go', then don't. Will manage a trip to Cambridge very soon which is also high on our loved places list. lona, have everything crossed for your house sale - which explains any typos grin. n&g have so enjoyed your holiday, super memories for all of you. Have fun now, however you decide to spend the time. Lovely sunshine here this morning, it sure does lift the spirits.

Charleygirl Thu 26-May-16 09:11:10

It was so cold here yesterday evening I even had the heating on! Admittedly I did not feel very well but even so I would have needed the warmth.

Today the sun is out and hopefully will stay there. I had a good night's sleep so I must go out fairly soon. Tara is out and away. Mumped and moaned until I let her out into the garden- it would have been too much to go out of the front door, round the side and over the fence. I doubt if I will see her before 8pm.
