How lovely! The bluebells do seem to be particularly good this year. smile I am so hoping my very elderly friend is going to be well enough to be 'kidnapped' to take her out at the weekend to see them. Everything seems to be so lovely and fresh and green as well as the blue at the moment, it is such a pleasure.

The bluebells are on a real roll this year - they are fabulous round here.

I love the warm wet green days and do not mind the rain at all - it kicks up some wonderful scents.

Oh yes, lifts the spirits, a carpet of bluebells.
Years ago I was given some bluebells and said to DH-who is the gardener, I'm just the (has to be closely supervised) labourer-won't these look lovely in the spring under the hedges. He said "you'll be sorry"-nonsense I said how hard can it be to keep them under control?
Well, every year now I am morally obliged to pull up as many of the b****y things, Spanish, aren't they? Absolute thugs!
The English ones in a carpet in (someone else's wood) are gorgeous?

Personally I don't care if they are English, Spanish, African, Australian or whatever - they are just lovely and even better if they are so profuse in your garden (I suffer too from the OH being the gardener and me just the occasional labourer - until he annoys me so much that I go off in a huff and cook something instead - which he is unable to do) that you/one has to pull them up and replant (can't bear to chuck them). Re-reading this makes little sense but maybe it's the hour..........

I have bluebells in my garden.
Last year I noticed variants - being white and pink, but this year - they have all increased in number and are prolific in the beds.

As someone else mentioned they are Spanish bluebells, and unlike the ones in the woods are much bigger in stature. Where I have enriched the soil they have taken advantage and are spectacular !

Just dig 'em out if you don't like them.

I love them ! They are so pretty - a joy to behold.

I'm an avid gardener. Some people consider certain indigenous plants to be weeds and some don't. Some people think if a plant has been introduced into this country it is not to be allowed. It's all about tolerance.

If you don't like it pull it out, and if you do enjoy it is what I say !

At the moment my garden is an absolute riot of colour and the bluebell is a welcome addition
