Help i have been wearing my new summer canvas shoes during the recent sunny weather and i have developed blisters on my heels. Has anyone got tips on how to prevent them or at least how to make my heels feel more comfy.

A plaster and socks till it heals if you must keep wearing them. It seems to be a problem with certain canvas shoes with rough seams.

Put a plaster over the seam in the shoe before wearing again.

Those special blister plasters are really good I managed a week at the Edinburgh Festival using them.

I used some blister plasters but can't remember the name. They cost about £2/3 for five a few years ago. You kept them on for a couple of days before replacing. They were very effective.

Dotz are good. 5 for £1 (of course) at Poundland.

Blister plasters are good, or well padded other plasters. I also think it's a good idea to go back to wearing some well worn in and comfortable shoes until your heels are no longer sore. And then maybe wear the new shoes for shorter periods until they have softened up a bit or your heels have hardened.

I used to get blisters a lot but I haven't had any for years. I've just realised! smile

I often get blisters from new shoes and I use Compeed plasters on them. They're great as they don't come off in water.
