Yesterday my second great grandchild was born, a beautiful little girl. She is specially precious because my DGD had two miscarriages and was carefully monitored throughout. Her little brother seems delighted with her so far!

Wonderful news daffy! Congratulations to everyone. The mum and dad must be so relieved. My DD1 had 2 miscarriages before her little boy was born, fine and healthy. It makes the baby so special after all the disappointment. I believe the current name for this is 'rainbow baby' smile

Thank you so much for your response to my joyful news. This is one of the things I love about Gransnet that we can share our good news as well as getting advice and support when times are difficult.
Mother and baby are fine plus today is my birthday and we are having a family get together at the weekend to introduce her to everyone.
