What is the best thing you've learned from the forums? Mine is the recommendation of the Genie Bra, it's changed my life ?.

That most women are nice, interesting, funny and kind people.

Why only women wot? I know we don't have many men but the ones we do have fit that description too.

I would add to that list - wise, empathetic and thoughtful.

Yes, all of those things too and nice men. It's just that I never had much to do with women because i couldn't have children and feit I couldn't relate to them. I don't feel that way at all now and it probably sounds weird but that's how it was.

I've learned to think before I speak after advice from people on here! Also that most people on here are kind and helpful.

TBH, I was probably jealous as well.

That I have a voice. I have signed more petitions and written to my MP (OK, only the once!) in the few months I have been on G'net than ever before. Must be making me bolshy!
Also that there are people on here who have every life experience going always willing to help.

I like the housekeeping tips.

I love to find out how people feel about all sorts of things; it's amazing how alike but different we all are__if that makes sense. I like to see things through others ,eyes and minds too. The anonymity of Gransnet allows us to be open.

tubbygran I'd never heard of a Genie bra so I googled it. I've got a couple of them somewhere in my undies drawer, never knew that's what they are called. I must dig them out they are so comfortable. I'd forgotten I had them. Thanks for the reminder smile

Best thing so far. A recipe from Pippa000 for low carb cheesy buns. Brilliant.

That generally we can disagree without falling out.

kittylester Sun 17-Apr-16 20:35:05

Glad GN helped wot. I love other people's take on all sorts of things though I try to avoid politics threads.grin

I like the sense of community. That there's lots of 'us' out there. I enjoy the meetups and the sharing of life's ups and downs and top tips. Its all good -even the political threads which can raise BP sky high!
