Phew! I hadn't even thought about ginger nuts until I heard about the factory closure which instantly made me just fancy a ginger nut.

The ginger nut shortage is over
A biscuit factory that closed down during floods last Christmas, causing a shortage of ginger nuts and custard creams, has resumed full production.
The temporary closure of the United Biscuits site in Carlisle in December hit supplies of McVitie’s ginger nuts, Crawford’s custard creams and Carr’s water biscuits, among others
Nearly 40 million litres of water and 540 tons of debris had to be cleared before normal production could resume, the company
