I sympathise GP. It's not quite the same, but I can't go to the Edinburgh meet up after finding train times to get me there and back, and getting really excited about meeting everyone. Young man at work, who is his grandad's carer, has to take time off to settle him into a care home. Now I have to fill in at work instead, grrr.

GP if it's any comfort, we only celebrated Christmas about a month ago because of various family mini-disasters! Pulling crackers in March was just as much fun though grin

Tomorrow's another day, I should stop making plans and 'go with the flow ' as they say

Tough time GP but it will pass. Ancient story about a man who woke up and his alarm had not gone off, it was raining and he missed his train. Arrived at work and had a row with his secretary and a very bad day. That evening he phoned his father and told him all, Dad said "don't worry son, it will all pass". Next day he woke early and the sun was shining, he actually got a seat on the train and when he arrived at the office his secretary had put a flower on his desk. He closed a wonderful deal and had a brilliant day. When he got home he phoned his dad and told him all about it. Guess what Dad said............................

Stuff happens, good and bad but eventually we get over it and often look back and see it was for a good reason.

Feeling a bit fed up
My DD , SiL & DGS live a 2 hr drive from me and as some of you may know I have a small holding so getting a visit in takes some planning. DGS is now 6 mths and DD still on leave so would love to see more of them but every time I arrange something it goes wrong
Previously ive broken down, I've borrowed friends van, something happened that I can't leave the animals etc etc
Last week DGS was hospitalised for 4 days with chest infection, we decided I'd visit once they were home so I could spend a bit longer with them. Today DS who I see everyday has tummy bug ! Once again I cancel coz can't risk passing on to baby when he's already weakened
Grrr
Life has a terrible habit of getting in the way
Note DS isn't getting any sympathy !
Moan over hehe
