Bella`s beautiful, isn`t she?

Bellasnana Thu 12-May-16 18:21:20

Lovely photos and paintings soop. I like to see where you've been whilst oot and aboot smile
Thanks to you all for your kind words. Soop's kitchen is always guaranteed to help on the tough days.

Charleygirl you really made me laugh grin I am sure I wouldn't enjoy it if Galen went overboard, in any sense of the word!
I'm really looking forward to escaping for a while, but hope my sister will not go anywhere before I have a chance to see her again. We have always been so close.

I have young Bella staying overnight as they have no school tomorrow due to a teachers' meeting, so she is doing a great job of keeping me entertained! She is so full of life, bless her.

Take care, dear granspals. I see a new extension is not far off. flowers

Dear Soop thank you for the welcome. Your paintings are lovely

Lovely paintings Soop, wish I had your talent.
Looking at those steps behind MacSporran reminds me of why I stayed at ground level! Skipness is a very photogenic location indeed, so pretty.

soop Thu 12-May-16 17:35:32

I scoffed the cherries. wink

Time for me to close the computer for another day. I shall return after care home visit tomorrow.

Oh...I do hope that that baby decides to make an entrance VERY soon. sunshine

A watercolour of spring flowers. I picked them as I walked home from work when we lived in Lostwithiel, Cornwall.

soop Thu 12-May-16 17:30:14

My watercolour of a make-believe style.

Galen ...never! grin

Bully my foot!

soop Thu 12-May-16 17:15:46

number We walked through the castle grounds. At one time I've mounted the steep steps to the ramparts. Not today. I haven't done enough walking since we returned home. Today was gentle exercise through beautiful grounds. Most relaxing. You have an image of the peaks in your photo. The island is magnificent. Today, the scene over Arran was hazy. We know the very tree in your image.

Alea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grin

Soop, you must be feeling better to be walking in the woods, but do please take more care! It`s a while (2011) since were were last at Skipness, a delightful place, so pretty, and we were blessed with a lovely sunny day when we were there, but alas I had to view the castle from ground level, as, I presume, you did also?
Bellasnana, so sorry to hear your sad news, you`ve really had it with both barrels, and more than once, so hopefully your upcoming trip with Galen will help to lighten your load.
Alea, where`s that baby?!! Your daughter needs a shot of gunpowder!
Lona, well done on getting a sale, hopefully you`ll soon find somewhere nice to rent.
I`m including a couple of images from our last trip to Skipness.

Av1dreader Welcome to the kitchen. flowers
It was extremely thoughtful of you to comment on my falls. I do my best to remain upright. However, I have lost a lot of confidence and have cut back on the speed at which I used to walk. I also pay special attention to where I place my footing. I was extremely fit and active for many years. A walk of five miles was a doddle. When we came here, my husband and I regularly climbed the highest hills. That was 13 years ago. I shall be 75 in August. So I'm not ancient but my limbs are dodgy.

Tizliz MacSporran is a retired architect. We have always had split-level flooring.

Bellasnana I shall be relieved when you are at long last afloat of a gorgeous boat with our Galen. She will be the tonic that you need.

Nannaand Grampy The boys are adorable. Your photograph put a big grin on my face. Continue to enjoy every moment.

Thank you, dear Kitcheners for your kindness.

Alea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wink grin

Hello my lovelies. It's a glorious day and we've been walking through the beautiful woods at Skipness; a very small village on the Kilbrannon Sound, the other side of the Kintyre Peninsula. There is a splendid castle; 11th century in parts, and the view is looking towards the Peaks of Arran.
I've never seen so much wild garlic. The woodland was carpeted with it and the aroma was heady. the village has one teeny weeny shop. It won a small village shop award in 2002 I believe.
Also, the verges around our village are deep blue with bluebells for as far as the eye can see.
No traffic noises. Bird song and the humming of bees in the never-ending ribbons of gorse.
Three images for you.
I shall then read all your news, after which, I shall return.

Charleygirl Thu 12-May-16 13:55:51

anno nice to see a name that I recognise has won something! Be careful replacing the light bulbs- do it during daylight.

The weather here is perfect- pity about the pollen count- just need extra tissues.

Bellasnanna you have had a very hard 2 years or longer-- you will be looking forward to the cruise even if you are going with that bully! With luck it maybe "person overboard" and you can enjoy the remainder of the cruise!!!!!

Lona on reflection you have sold in double quick time. I am aware that we have to hold our breaths at least until contracts have been exchanged. Renting puts you in a good position to buy again if that is what you want to do.

Alea oh why are we waiting?! I doubt if Grace is too bothered.

soop I do hope that you have been resting and that the bruises are less painful. You are very fortunate that you have not damaged your joint replacements but loosening does spring to mind so please keep an eye out for that.

NanaandGrampy I hope that the weather remains as good- Cooper will be an accomplished swimmer by the time you come home.

NanaandGrampy Thu 12-May-16 13:54:20

Good morning one and all!!

I am so sorry to hear you fell again soop are you going for some sort of record smile ? Please take better care, I suggest Macs wrap you in many layers of bubble wrap for your own safety!!

lona congratulations on selling your house. Now you just need to find that perfect place to rent and settle back down!

Bella I am so sorry to hear about your sister . You sound like you have a lot on your plate. Come and sit here in the kitchen and share with us and let us help in whatever small way we can even if it's only raising a smile xx

Our holiday is going well, the little ones swimming is coming on in leaps and bounds. They have gone off today to have breakfast with Winnie the Pooh !! I have added an 07:30 picture of them looking very excited lol

Grampy and I are excited too.... A lazy day by the pool and an afternoon nap!!!

annodomini Thu 12-May-16 13:37:37

Just heard the weather man saying how high the pollen count it. Oh misery!

annodomini Thu 12-May-16 13:36:43

Bellasnana*, what sad news. You must be feeling so deflated after all you've been through.
After all this about falling, it occurs to me that I have several light bulbs to replace, or pretty soon I shall be tripping around in the dark - it's either that or the step ladder.

Galen Thu 12-May-16 08:19:43

She'd better, or when we call into Malta I'll go and beat her up. ( I could cause I'm bigger, heavier and nastier than her)

Lona Thu 12-May-16 07:48:52

Bella flowers I do hope you're still going away with Galen, you really really need a break xx
kitty I'm having to rent now, so I'm just about to start looking for a nice apartment. Trying to be very optimistic grin

kittylester Thu 12-May-16 07:26:24

huge (((hugs))) Bella. You are having a lot to cope with in such a short time. Are you still able to go with Galen - it will do you a power of good if you can.flowers

Onwards and upwards Lona. A new decade and a new start. Have you found your new home yet? You must be feeling a whole spectrum of emotions.

I hope you are not aching today soop - please try to stay upright.flowers

Any new babies anywhere?

Tizliz Wed 11-May-16 23:52:59

My fil has arrived and I was surprised to see him using a stick. He fell because he didn't turn the light on then he didn't go to see dr and now has constant pain. He is 92 and still manages to walk everyday. He was telling me that his son (from first marriage) died leaving a young child from his Hungarian girlfriend. She suggested to fil that he pay for the child to go to a private school - he only has his pension. Luckily he will not be pushed around.

Absolutely shattered now and they are still talking! Gone to bed and left them to it.
