Actually, they didn't play particularly well, gave away far too many penalties by reckless play and were very lucky Owen Farrell is about as infallible a goal kicker as they come.

I live in the US and could not watch the match live. But even knowing the score ahead of time it was still great to see England win the Grand Slam. And this means that we beat all the other teams, right? So enough with the criticism. Victory is ours!

It was nail-biting as the clock ticked towards the end but a great overall result.

Well done for winning in what has been described as "surviving a
nailbiter" but England may yet have to up their act in the Southern Hemisphere.
Winning is good, but playing at top form and beating the best, even better.

I love Owen Farrell, and the way he eyes up the spot he's intending to aim for, is magic.

Brought up with sports journalism I would frequently read or hear my father's constructive criticism of whichever side -no false partiality there.
What is wrong with critiquing where it is justified? Rest assured Eddie Jones may be getting the first pints in, but come Monday morning he will be going over the film footage with a fine tooth comb to eliminate weaknesses for future reference.
It's only doting mums and grans who say "lovely, dear" whatever

I doubt whether racist taunts are unheard of in the six nations, Ab, though they pass unheard outside the intimacy of the front row of the scrum, where many things are said.
At a very junior level I remember getting an earful of (wholly inaccurate) anti-Semitic abuse from my opposing prop, who must have been confused by my black hair and beard. He was fresh out of school, one with a significant Jewish intake as it happens, and I had a quiet word with his captain in the bar after we had thoroughly beaten them.

Brilliant result for England. Especially as they had more away games than home. Thought the France match was going to be a rout at first but they came back and made a good game of it.

It was good enough to get me a slap up meal out today anyway.

I do wince when watching rugby, all those heavy bodies crashing into each other, when the adrenalin wears off they must ache.DH used to play when younger and then DS and I went to cheer them on but always worried about injuries ( they had a few.)

Just a thought, Wales did pretty well in their game as well
