A lovely quote, thank you. It made me think of the quote in action.
I am knitting what I call a memory blanket made of the scraps of wool left over from the knitting I have been doing for my granddaughters. It is a work in progress just now but the day will come when they won't want to wear anything hand knitted and I can finish it. Already when I look at it I can plot their progress from baby things to pink ballet cardigans. Moving through my hands to my heart indeed.

What my friend made for her grandson when she traced his drawings on to fabric and then appliqued them on to his bedroom curtains.

She's an architect by the way, and often gets stuck in and helps build the plans that she's drawn. Because they have moved from her head to her heart through her hands.

The wooden chairs my grandad made for all his grandchildren and that are still in the family. They all have a toybox underneath and are really cool.
