Our village castle last night.

Wow. I saw some red sky from an aurora in about 2001 in Cheshire they were just wavy red "curtains. Not a major display but it was impressive. Husband woke me up at about 01:30 hrs to look at it.

DS was out last night and got great photos, often the camera catches what the human eye doesn't see and the photographers use time lapse.

I saw the aurora several years ago in Oxfordshire, the lights were red. I thought the woods were on fire at first.

I'm so We're heading to the North East for a visit in a few weeks, so there's a slim chance we might see the lights.

I have always wanted to see the northern lights, but I doubt I ever will. These are lovely photos and thank you for sharing them. How very beautiful.

Northern Lights were just spectacular last night. It's a joy to stay here even if most of the time it looks like a set for Shetland! We have a similar landscape and climate.

We could have had a good show last night too. If only we had dark skies.
