what's in your pocket?

Greyduster, the Woods where I sometimes walk is University owned and accessible to permit-holders only, for £5 every 2 years.

Shysal, can I ask what a woods permit is for?

Forgot to include card with ID and next of kin info.

In the jacket I wear for my daily early morning walks:
Keys.
Torch.
Woods permit.
Hankie.
Tick remover.
Wad of sheep's wool (for prevention of blisters if shoe rubs).
Gloves.
Tube of Anthisan.
Pair of unused Little Hotties hand warmers.
A few fruit gums in tiny poly bag in case of cough.
Small coin purse.
Folding shopping bag.
Poo bags.
Folding reading glasses.

All crammed into one pocket as a shoulder injury prevents me from reaching the right hand one!
Phone and pedometer will also be in my trouser pocket.

Nothing except a stone from the beach at Kilcreggan. Picked it up to throw in the sea with youngest GS, but put it in my pocket instead. Won't be visiting there for a while as the family moved to Glasgow.

I have on jeggings with no pockets just now, my coat may have my gloves shoved in them and when I'm wearing it my keys and phone(inside pocket) as I hardly ever carry a bag.

Tissues, dog biscuits, Poo bags, the odd coin, sometimes screwed up shopping lists and receipts.

When I'm out my keys and phone are always in my pocket, in case of handbag theft. In addition I'm likely to find a couple of hairclips, receipts, a few coins, tissues and quite often a few clothes pegs which I've forgotten to put in the peg bucket after taking things off the line!
Indoors, in my trouser pockets, there are usually tissues, hairclips and this morning I found 2 cotton buds in one pocket

Tissues and dog poo bags.

Ditto the tissues ?! A small tape measure , a trolley coin and three supermarket receipts!

My 'walking the DGCn' coat pockets are quite disgusting - loads of well-used, half-disintegrated tissues that for some unknown reason haven't yet made it to the bin, and an assortment of 'treasures' that they have found over the last few months: pebbles, conkers, seeds, snail shells etc.

Nothing -not even my hands- hate the idea of crummy pockets and old tissues.

Oh dear, just had a rummage in my everyday coat. Under the mound of crumpled tissues - dog poo bags (I don't have a dog now - DC do and they come to stay sometimes), a small torch, 5p in coppers, a coloured bead and a very small toy farm animal (a calf) - and a peppermint (wrapped).

Used tissues, shopping list, trolley token and maybe 1-2p
Spread across the three coats/jackets in current use. I have a sip up brown jacket which I like except the idiot that designed it forgot the pockets

All my coat pockets have tissues and dog-poo bags, sadly no longer needed since my beloved Max died two weeks ago

At the moment nothing as I am still in my PJs

A hanky and possibly an old shopping list. My handbag too is a completely different matter.

I tend to live in jeans (or denim cargo pants in the summer). I keep my keys in the right-hand pocket ever since my handbag was stolen many years ago. The inconvenience of being unable to get into my own home and the high cost of new locks taught me this lesson. Almost everything else is easy and usually free to replace.

I have two coats current holding one those pull out steel rulers in the pocket. We have about six in our house all of various ages and states of batteredness but we still cannot find one when you need it.
Then next time you look there are several back in the drawer.

Being a minimalist kind of lady as regards pockets - a tissue! Now if you were to ask me what is in my bag that is an entirely different matter. And I wouldn't tell you either!

In one of the Just William books Richmal Crompton lists the contents of his pockets! Mine usually have tissues, rubber bands, receipts, my phone, gloves, a woolly hat, shopping lists, 1p pieces.
The hat is a charity shop cashmere one, so fine and light that it rolls up into my pocket. It has some little buttons on it, the first time she saw it my daughter asked why I had a cardigan sleeve on my head. That made me laugh and I smile at the memory when I put it on. My family find it odd and funny but I no longer care what I look like, it is very warm and cosy. If I had one of the fashionable kind with a big fake fur bobble on top I couldn't get it into my bag, let alone my pocket!
