Without wanting to rub anyone's nose in it, it's gloriously sunny and blue skies where I am. I can't quite believe that some of the country is knee-deep in snow!

It's even been sunny and bright, with no rain at all, here in the north west today. It's bitterly cold but are we bovvered, are we 'eckerslike. It's wonderful to have the sun and bright blue skies. Everyone is smiling and saying what a lovely day it is. I bet even in Happy Valley folks are laughing and exchanging happy comments and not mumbling either grin

It is beautiful here in South Yorkshire this morning but bitterly cold in the wind. Yesterday it couldn't make its mind up what to do; sun, hail, snow flurries, rain and back to sun! Hope it's not too bad on Friday - I'm going fishing on one of our upland reservoirs where the weather can change in the blink of an eye from being perfectly benign to being an absolute mare!

We set off from Yorkshire to Somerset on Friday morning - it was snowing heavily at our end and the skies were blue at journey's end. Fortunately when we came home last night we'd missed the bad weather. It was so cold overnight that the central heating clicked in, but today is glorious, a beautiful Spring day. smile

Its been beautiful here on the west coast (Scotland) for the last week or so ... I know this as I have been stuck indoors with some awful virus! Still not 100% but determined to get myself back to normal and go along to my craft group this afternoon.

It has been sun and blue skies for a few days now in Sussex, but decidedly nippy with an unpleasant east/north wind. Forecast 16 by the weekend - in our dreams! But I am waiting for the nights to warm up a tad so that I can finish planting the roses as I don't want to shock them too much. Harlow Carr and Princess Anne.

It's bright blue skies and sunshine in Newcastle today. Can only hope that the south is getting its fair share of cloud/rain/snow now!!!

No snow all weekend here on the Northumberland coast, very cold but I want a dose of snow. The flowers are all out and its just too warm. I sat in DDs garden last week.

This is So not fair! We've had no snow all winter and only a brief flurry since spring began. Please send lots of your surplus snow for our children to play in, with the wild excitement of the day off school. We'd need so much that the parents have to stay home too as I've grown out of playing in the snow.

We had a bright sunny day in Essex, but my heart went out to anyone in the Peak District or north of the Humber.

Nelliemoser Sun 06-Mar-16 09:30:51

I hope it is not doing this tomorrow. We are supposed to be going cross the Peak District to see the littlies. We have had some dreadful journeys across this year. Fog, driving snow, heavy rain and huge puddles on the roads when we get to the flat bits I don't think the roads have been closed yet.

In East Anglia there was a flurry of huge flakes of snow. This soon disappeared and the weather settled to grey and chilly.Friday was like a glorious Spring day.So changeable. The plants and the birds are all confused!

DD drove through a terrible blizzard just N of Stansted earlier this morning.
Started bright in Kent but sky looks ominous now.

BBbevan Sat 05-Mar-16 09:59:03

Tables turned. Cold with snow flurries here this morning

amberdogxK9 Fri 04-Mar-16 23:28:59

Snow twice this week on the South Pennines but buses and cars kept going , even on steep hills - was chaos in the New Forest when I lived there but "oop" North they grit, salt, and have snowploughs too. Lovely clear blue Alpine skies.

Wore my sunglasses going to Lanchester but mainly for extra warmth. Had hail this evening.

M0nica Fri 04-Mar-16 18:31:46

Driving through the suburbs of Oxford today, my car said the outside temperature was 10 degrees and the sky was cloudless. Then odd white things began to float in the air, then land on the windscreen and melt. It was snowing. After a few minutes it changed its mind and became hail confused

suzied Fri 04-Mar-16 17:53:09

Dried all my washing in the garden today
