Oh dear Merlot your poor new kitchen. Years ago we went for our first meal in parents in law brand new home they had just had built and I went out to make the coffee. I managed to upset a full percolator of hot coffee over their brand new kitchen units. I felt really bad but they said, " well it had to be christened " . So your new kitchen has been christened as well.

I tried making some carrot cake cup cakes. I prepared the ingredients and left them ready to cook later.

As I was spooning the mixture into the patty tins I realised there was not much mixture and I had forgotten to add the carrots. I scraped it back out of the cake cases and mixed in the carrots and plonked it all back in. It worked a treat.

I had a big baking session this afternoon, preparing for the half term invasion. Spent ages hunting high and low for a baking tray which I knew I had got out ready but it had vanished. Turned up underneath the other tray which was already in the oven! I love the baking but the washing up is less exciting!

Had my first proper baking session in my new kitchen this afternoon - visitors tomorrow so I thought I'd better make the effort.

Dead chuffed with my biscotti (Paul Hollywood) so made a pot of coffee while I sampled the end bit.

Luvverly jubbly.....Had a big clear up but should have paid more attention to what I was doing rather than shout answers at The Chase because I then hung my almost full mug on a cup hook. shock

Double clear up!
