I got into the 'open doors with elbow' a long time ago , its common sense to hand wash for your own welfare as much as anyone else's.
OH and I always go straight to the sink to hand wash when we get in from shopping before we put anything away after witnessing the sort of thing Willow is talking about constantly.

I'm a non hand washer !

But before I'm put in the stocks, I have antibacterial wipes I always use. My mobility is a bit of an issue so the sooner I can get back to my scooter the better, I just can't stand at the sink, then the drier.

At the gym it's not a problem because they have the appropriate facilities for me . But my DDS and DGC ALWAYS wash their hands .

The only time I don't is if there is no soap available. I always carry antibacterial wipes and/or gel and use this instead. I also make everyone use these before eating if we are out.

Yes, it amazes me yet, presumably, if it was really a big deal they (and we) would all be having lots more illnesses.
I do wash my hands every time, btw.

Is anyone on here a non-hand-washer? Can you tell us why you don't bother?

I wait until someone's going through it then hold it open with my elbow and slide through grin

It's grim, isn't it? Especially if you then have to touch the door ?

I'm constantly shocked at the number of women who come out of a public toilet cubicle and go straight out of the door without washing their hands - often with children in tow. This happens in supermarkets where they presumably then go shopping touching everything from the trolley handle to the fruit and veg they (and us) they will be eating angry I've been in shopping centres, restaurants, hospitals and cinemas and seen it happen time after time. My husband says men do the same thing even after they've been in a cubicle - gross! It takes 2 minutes to wash your hands with soap - I just don't understand how anyone can forget/not bother! Is anyone else as disgusted as me at this?
