Our Biology teacher at school was Doctor White. You can imagine the giggling from his teenage pupils.

There is currently a BBC weather presenter called Sara Blizzard.

The headteacher at my RC primary school was Mr. Cain. But he used a strap on the boys. Girls were sent over the road to the Poor School (no really) where there was a female teacher qualified to give us girls the cane. Only once in my case.

The cook at my children's primary school was Mrs. Cook.

Some years ago, our vets were called Mr Turnbull, Miss Otter, Mr Drake and Miss Barks. I often wondered if they were employed because of their names. A current local vet is called Mewes. When I was a student in a hospital kitchen, the chef was Mr. De'ath---didn't exactly inspire confidence!
