Good for you, NanaandGrampy!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 28-Jan-16 19:03:41

Strong coffee anyone? grin

NanaandGrampy Thu 28-Jan-16 19:01:29

I did once get asked to go for coffee whilst riding my mobility scooter in the Mall of America !

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 28-Jan-16 19:01:16

Oh! I think something has dawned on me. hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 28-Jan-16 19:00:06

What??? confused

NotTooOld Thu 28-Jan-16 18:50:33

PS I got wolf-whistled at when I was 65. Obviously the bloke was blind. I looked around thinking there must be a young woman around but there wasn't. I'm a feminist but, I have to say, that builder (well, you knew it was a builder, didn't you?) made my day. grin Why not just enjoy the attention you say you are getting? You're probably old enough to know how to deal with it with no hurt feelings.

Wot - what's a Byrne?

Thanks, jingles!

Jingles... wish I did live in Yorkshire! I love it! But, no I live in a little Norfolk village and have done for about 16 years. My house is tacked onto a big farmhouse...was probably a Byrne. I figured nd it bloody awfully desolate because my habitat was Brighton.
Loo

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 28-Jan-16 18:28:40

That could have been because I gave him a fiver at Christmas.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 28-Jan-16 18:27:55

I don't feel sorry for you. I just can't find it in me.

I did have a lovely warm smile from my gorgeous young postman this morning though.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 28-Jan-16 18:25:24

Where is your house? confused Why is it "bloody awful desolate"? Do you live somewhere in the middle of the North York Moors? Or under a mountain in Scotland?

NanaandGrampy Thu 28-Jan-16 18:23:46

Well sadly, if this happens a lot , then the odds are you are coming across too friendly . Maybe you just need to tone it down , if their attention is unwanted then it's up to you to set the tone.

What sort of comfort were you expecting by the way smile

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 28-Jan-16 18:23:27

Tell us more. smile What did the little wrinkled chap actually say to you?

I'm all ears! I'm agog. And slightly envy

wot Thu 28-Jan-16 18:20:11

Oh well, cheerio

wot Thu 28-Jan-16 18:19:06

I'm sorry you think this is is a "piss take" nobody seemes to give me any comfort on here

Luckygirl Thu 28-Jan-16 18:05:03

Sounds like a fantasy to me.

loopylou Thu 28-Jan-16 18:02:44

?
Or perhaps they fancy themselves as potential irresistible Lotharios and that you won't be able to resist them?
?

wot Thu 28-Jan-16 17:41:07

Love it! But seriously, if you saw me, I never have my non existent cleavage on show or nuffin like that !

phoenix Thu 28-Jan-16 17:33:22

If they were fishy Wot , then maybe you might find your "sole" mate! grin

wot Thu 28-Jan-16 17:24:26

Of course I meant dishy, not fishy haha!

wot Thu 28-Jan-16 17:21:30

It's my natural tendency to be friendly to "tradesmen" or anybody that finds themselves in the vicinity of my bloody awful desolate house. But these people always think "I'm coming on to them" I mean the latest one is a tiny wrinkled chappy of about 5 feet. This has always happened to me. My friend says "well, you shouldn't be so sexy" but honest lyrics I'm not. It's a bloody insult! Who do these guys think they are?? (Wouldn't much nd so much if they were fishy and good husband material)
