I go out with GSs jumping puddles 'til we're soaked and muddy; then ring home for my daughter to run a hot bath and greet us all with hot chocolate at the door.

all the above and more, although I still work, I can come home to eat when I like, what I like, do housework or not, go where I like and climb trees with DGD. yessss I do like being older

I can have my music up as loud as I want.
I don't have to wear uncomfortable shoes .
No need to spend hours getting ready or putting on make up.
Hold my belly in wearing a bikini.
Worry my self sick nobody fancies me or likes me.
Get a hangover and not have to get up in the morning for work

It doesn't matter what time I get up. Sometimes its 9 am, sometimes its 11 am, after listening, half asleep, to Woman's Hour.

As a recycled teenager, I DO hope that the fit bloke at the bar notices me. (But as a no-longer averagely attractive teenager, I don't expect him to - unless of cours he is around my age - - - aaah - - - sigh - - - dream - - - )

The remote control is all mine
I can watch anything I want on TV - even sport.
Anything I study is optional

Up until the time she died at 101 my mother told everyone who would listen (and those who wouldn't!) that she was not an old age pensioner but 'a re-cycled teenager'. Looking at your lists above it seems she was right !

I don't worry about wearing the latest fashion, although I always try to look nice.
I can sit for ages reading and not feel guilty.
No alarm call
I don't go to work for money but as a volunteer
I can be silly and fun with my granddaughters
I say good morning to everyone when walking along the beach.

There's no voice from above saying 'what time do you call this?' when I'm late back.

No checks to see if I've eaten my greens!

I don't have to worry about my bad tempered boss noticing I've been to the toilet (honest, it happened first job)

I'm not expected to run for the bus in high heels grin

It's not so bad being older

ninathenana Thu 28-Jan-16 09:25:32

I don't need an alarm clock
I don't have to wonder if the fit bloke at the bar will notice me.
Nobody is going to shout "Your not leaving the house dressed like that ! "

I have everything I wanted as a teenager only 50 years later.
I don't have to go to school or work.
I get an allowance every month.
I have my own place.
I don't have a curfew.
I have a driver's licence and my own car.
I can play music loudly.
The people I hang out with are not scared of getting pregnant and do not use drugs (well except for medical reasons).
LIFE IS GREAT!

Anything that you want to add to the list?
