Heading off for a week in a coastal apartment, all packed, and taking dgd with us, then aged about 4. We were taking all sorts of stuff, food, cleaning materials, bed linen.

A cotton bag belonging to dgd was hanging on our coatstand. It was from Sunday School and had a picture of baby Jesus on the front.

Dh called to me....don't forget the baby Jesus.
I thought ..What for? But lifted it anyway and reached it to dh to put into the car.

Says dh.....what's that for.
Says me..... I don't know, you said not to forget it.
Says he.....No, it was the baby cheeses (baby bel in the red wax)

Haha, that really made me laugh out loud leftoutG. Yes, this has happened to me but like Alima I can't now bring any examples to mind. I might return...

Yes, many times, my ears aren't that reliable even on a good day. If only I could remember some now. Your image of giant lizards stomping up the East coast is brilliant!

I heard on the news that people in America have been warned to stay in their homes because of the threat of giant lizards, all along the East Coast.

Have you misheard something and had a laugh about it afterwards?
