Christmas order did not arrive

Went to collect our order of goodies/party food for 10 people at M & S on Christmas eve. They couldn't find it. Full apologies and a full refund. Also told us to collect whatever we wanted, which we did, and it was provided with their compliments.

The company owes you at least one gammon. I'd speak with manager/CEO.

A similar thing happened here, Asda order should have come on Mon. Dec.21st, didn`t arrive, on Tuesday we were promised it on Christmas Eve, no specific time, waited all day, no order, at the last minute our youngest son and his wife brought us some fruit and veg round, luckily we already had the turkey. After initially saying it was our fault, that the man had delivered and nobody answered the door, we persisted in complaining, telling them that we had security cameras back and front, and they were welcome to view the footage to prove that no order came, they finally apologised this month, and have given us £30 in our online account. Doesn`t really make up for being without the special little extras over Christmas, but hey, better than nothing.

I would have hoped for an apology and hopefully the gammon and the refund. It was Christmas after all.

No I don't think they are! I would truthfully have expected both a refund AND a gammon!!

It was Christmas ..... What if you had been unable to resource a replacement? Would they have truthfully expected you to serve jam sandwiches all round?
