Quiz. Answers are mainly 'common sense', I think. Must be cos I got them all right.

So did I even though it is 50 years since I lived on a farm. Lets just say we were not 'hampered' by H&S but what we got up to horrifies me now !

Me too, and I've never had anything whatsoever to do with farm life. So yes, it is common sense.

I got 8/9 which is a bit worrying considering I do all of the risk assessments for our small business. blush

I have never had anything to do with farm life either and misread one of the questions. The oldest mistake in the book !

not that I am making an excuse for getting one wrong

DD is Health and Safety manager for a large farming company so I'm relieved I got them all right.

Just common sense though.

An interesting quizz. The last house we lived in here (SW France) had a roof made of asbestos mix, and there was a medium power electricity pylon in the grounds. Several cases of cancer in the environs. I was very relieved when we managed to sell and move elsewhere.
There's research going on about the link between certain types of cancer and the use of pesticides and herbicides. Stories in the local paper most weeks about tractor accidents. Farming today is a dangerous job.
