Eyebrows

I have also lost almost all my eyebrows. I never had much leg hair but since the menopause I have also lost about an inch from all around my hairline at the front. Having consulted Dr Google (and GN), I conclude that it is frontal fibrosing alopecia. I was putting in a bit of eyebrow colour with an almost dry mascara brush but that doesn't seem to work any more. I'm not really bothered about the brows and won't be spending £300 to have a tattoo.

Regalo it only takes seconds to do each brow once you get used to it.?

Ana grin yes, exactly!

That is a good idea rosesarered, thanks. I had heard that it was expensive to try a permanent solution. Don't think I will bother!

But don't use it for looking anywhere other than your eyebrows!!!

Same here, they sort of just vanish when you aren't looking, so I use Avon brow definer( it comes in light brown or dark brown) and is very natural looking. If you use a pencil, don't just draw a line, do lots of little lines, it looks like natural eyebrow hair then.Use a good magnifying mirror on your dressing table.

Oh and meant to say - a friend also had it done, at a different salon, and again the tattoo was only semi-permanent, so I think this must be pretty standard.

I have no eyebrows to speak of (never have had) but I now wear glasses all the time and that hides the fact.

I haven't, but my DD had it done about 3 or 4 years ago. Word of warning: they didn't permanently tattoo them, can't remember why. It is a semi permanent treatment that has faded considerably now, although she still has some definition. I think it cost her about £300, so you might want to consider the high cost if it needs touching up every so often.

Strange request...has anyone tried permanent make up or tattoos for their eyebrows? I have pretty much lost all eye brow hair (and leg hair..yippee!) and just have the odd hair left. It doesn't worry me too much except that there is no explanation as all medical tests have come back normal. I can't be bothered to pencil them in daily but would be interested in other people's experiences.
