Going for a coffee with a dear friend today. We live about 5 minutes from each other and because we both lead such busy lives only seem to catch up about once a year, sad really.

I have another day of trying to clear the backlog of desk stuff today then I'm having a pedicure. DH & DS are going to the football tonight so I have a night all to myself - bliss!

Cold, clear and bright here too at the moment.

DH has gone off to do his gardening stint at the local NT Stately Pile. Goodness knows what they'll be able to do as everywhere is so soggy. But the bothy is good for drinking tea and putting the world to rights!

I have to put all my concentration into remembering to go for the rearranged optician's appointment I forgot last week.... 10.30 ..... 10.30 ...... 10.30!

Nice to pull back the curtains earlier and be met with a bright day - raindrops on the window, so it has been raining, but not at the moment. And it's cold, brrr .
