Indinana thanks for explaining why you would need all your teeth removed - I didn't like to ask.
I was reading about titanium implants the other day. They cost a fortune for a complete set (at least £10,000) and are usually done in stages, but now a new system is available where it can be done in a day, even if you are not suitable for standard implants. It is called All-on-4 because the top and bottom dentures are each set into only 4 implants. Clever or what?
Grandma2213 I remember in the late 60s when I was little, knocking on my friend's front door and her Mum answered. I didn't recognise her because she'd just had all her teeth out in one go. The poor woman.
Years later I told my Mum about it years later and she said it was common practice back then. I thought it sounded like a good idea at the time, not realising false teeth don't give you the same bite as your own.
