Afrer reading another thread that mentions Bargain Hunt the TV programme , I just wondered if any GNers had appeared on TV or radio programmes past or present or had been that.'person' waving behind the news reportergrin

This is hilarious! I was Countdown ages ago (last series that Richard Whiteley did) and missed out on a crucial conundrum sad. I would be up for Eggheads (specialist subject science) as long as CJ wasn't on it. As for Only Connect:after last night's episode, I could hardly understand the questions, though am quite good on the missing vowels round! How would we organise a team as we are spread around the country? It would certainly be a challenge!

OOPS! How did that happen????

granfromafar Tue 05-Jan-16 20:58:37

Really sorry about multiple posting of above message. Have no idea how that happened. Can someone Pleeeeeease remove them? blush

annodomini Tue 05-Jan-16 21:26:24

I don't think that even I have managed as many multiple posts, granfromafar. Well done!

Elrel Tue 05-Jan-16 23:43:50

Granfromafar - You are right about organising an entry people from all over the place being difficult. The team leader puts all 6 on the same form then we'd have to say where we preferred to audition.
I still love the idea of a Gransnet team on Eggheads but we're too late for the series they are recording so will have to apply towards the end of the year.

I won an episode of the Weakest Link - does that count? AR was fab and genuinely scary until afterwards.

An american TV company filmed my OH for a programme called something about Workshops (My Workshop?). They took all day and then he was only shown for 2 minutes. When we moved to Scotland a neighbour recognised him and said the programme was repeated every few months but we have never seen it! (we didn't have Sky at the time). I refused to be filmed as I am not photogenic at all.

The Chase on Monday next includes my 15+ minutes of fame. You will see me embarrass myself with an impression of a rabbit in headlights ...

WilmaKnickersfit Sat 09-Jan-16 00:56:00

Elrel give us a clue which one you are?

Elrel Sat 09-Jan-16 23:38:10

Wilma - I'm the one on the left?

WilmaKnickersfit Sat 09-Jan-16 23:39:33

Must remember to watch! grin

Maggiemaybe Mon 11-Jan-16 11:22:04

I've set it to record, Elrel, as I'm bound to forget.

WilmaKnickersfit Mon 11-Jan-16 17:39:07

So far so good!

WilmaKnickersfit Mon 11-Jan-16 17:45:07

Don't know how the next bit works, but crossing everything! grin

WilmaKnickersfit Mon 11-Jan-16 17:55:54

Hard luck Elrel flowers

Ana Mon 11-Jan-16 17:59:18

Yes, you did really well in your rounds Elrel, and I thought you and Jill made a good team in the final one. Shame you were pipped at the post, but at least you did better than the men...wink!

Elrel Mon 11-Jan-16 18:39:46

Wilma - thanks for your support!
Ana - yes, we were unlucky to lose the two men. If I'd been on my own when it got to my turn I'd have gone for the £59k for the hell of it but Jill so wanted to see those sloths in Brazil!

Pittcity Mon 11-Jan-16 21:12:55

I was thinking the same as you about Aaron's bush wink Elrel

crossstitchgill Mon 11-Jan-16 22:35:05

Well done Elrel! You certainly seemed to enjoy it. Ann Heggerty is my favourite Chaser. I like her wit.
