I just went to look in the freezer to see what make they are whitewave but I must have thrown them out for the birds when I sorted out the freezer - they weren't Tesco's own make as far as I remember.

Reminds me of myself transferring some NT chutney into a plain jar with handwritten label for one of my makes-it-all~herself friends last year. The label doesn't go as far as saying home made. I didn't actually fib.

I threw my home-made gluten-free pastry out when I made some for DD a couple of years ago as it was so hard even a carving knife wouldn't cut it. I nearly decapitated two pigeons.

Actually, I bought some frozen gf sausage rolls from Tesco for DD whitewave. I've no idea what they are like as I have just remembered they are still in the freezer 20 months later

Well, DGD was very helpful this afternoon, helping me put out all the Christmas ornaments.
Cards written, mostly posted apart from one which needs a letter and one to deliver by hand. A parcel still lurking which needs to go overseas - it's just an extra!

DGC's nativity play was superb and (proud gran warning!) L was star of the show as eponymous heroine of Whoops-a-daisy Angel!!
R was a choir member after being a narrator last year.
After a couple of hours of kitchen chores plus laundry processing for Dd1 I'm tired so it's Strictly 2 while eating!
By the time I tidy up and put in the load of towels I brought back, it's tele with no ironing!

Also managed to fire off emails to npower (abandoning them) and to Scottish Gas.
Npower has over £200 of my cash to refund as I switch over.

Went into town with DGS today. The main purpose was to get his hair cut at the barbers where they sit the children in model cars and play a DVDs for them. He hates getting his hair cut, no idea why as he has never been hurt. After two abortive attempts to get him there we triumphed the third time with him sitting on my knee. What a performance, but no matter now the job is done. He was rewarded with a ride on Santa's train then a burger before heading home. So glad to head home, town was getting very busy. Back to calmer Christmas jobs tomorrow.

I think I will type up the 'Christmas letter'. Then I hand write it to those who deserve require them, adding a more personal bit as I go. I was all morning scraping old cork tiles from the bathroom floor, but now the builder has appeared I need a downstairs job.

Not a lot as DGD is busy entertaining me today! Fortunately she has a friend playing with her called Abigail, who has pink hair in a side bunch, she's 11 and is DGD's twin, although DGD is only 4.
Neither DH nor I can see or hear Abigail btw which is a bit unfortunate as grandad just sat on her, resulting in hysterics from DGD.
'Everyone loves Abigail's Party' apparently (resulting in laughter from me and indignation from DGD, although I am allowed to go if I take a frozen 'Frozen' )

Did my shopping last night, as planned. Also got some extra baubles and decorations - they were already reduced!! Terrible colours, mind, but mixed with the gold ones I have and with lots of fairy lights, I think it'll make a nice display.

Didn't do any of the other things on my list, and won't be doing any tonight as DiL and GS are coming for tea. Haven't seen them since they got back from the States. She likes our food, and I shall be doing linguine with salmon. Although she's a veggie, she likes her bit of salmon, and that's something the little one can join us in eating.

I very superficially tidied the lounge and the dining room before work this morning, in preparation for their visit. Left garbled instructions to hubbie to put various other things away and remove more stuff to make the place more toddler-proof.
