What to buy the man who has everything?

Coffee creams? books you know he would like to read? A huge crossword book?New dressing gown? a lovely photo frame with a photo of the two of you in it ( taken either recently or from years ago) .To a point, I suspect most of us have everything we need, but a little extra or a little luxury item is always nice.

Why not a hot air balloon trip then? Especially if over you area- his favourite area- or as we did a few years back over the Serengeti? Or helicopter in the Alps- which we did for DHs 60th- and perhaps will do again next year for 70th - going to work by helicopter is quite different to a sight seeing trip in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

So, I broached the idea of a weekend away "why would I want to do that I spend half my life in hotels for work" Thinking of something from the Barbour hat/coat/scarf/accessories range now

How about a weekend away in a nudist colony or a retreat of some sort? A yoga weekend or working on a farm.

Does he play any instruments? Did he play as a youngster and still craves taking it back up?

Model railway, model cars, a model, lol.

Is he into photography? Maybe a camera or binoculars if into bird watching (them models again, ) or a telescope if into star gazing or name a star after him.

I bought my son some Gorilla Snot last year, it's for guitar playing and keeps your fingers from slipping on the strings. He was not impressed! lol This year he has some jelly boobs!

Same problem here, and a parachute jump wouldn't be gratefully accepted (been there, done that ), used to go to work in a helicopter, doesn't read fiction, rarely wears cufflinks these days, buys his own whisky .......

DH will receive a new coat (requested) a decent bottle of port and a book.
Now resident DS........I have no flippin idea !

I have the same dilemma "nothing", however if he was to receive "nothing" I'd never hear the end of it. I'm thinking weekend break at the moment but manly as opposed to spa. Any other suggestions grestly appreciated.

Mine is the same and he hates clothes presents but never buys himself anything - guess what Santa has bought him.

Bottle of whisky is alway the default gift for my other half if I'm struggling to think of anything new. To be honest, the only gift he gets excited about is the calendar of photos of the grandkids my son and dil put together for us. Everything else is a bonus

What about cufflinks - they can never have enough cufflinks, no? Or posh pens?

Agree, an experience. Tandem paracesdening, helicopter tour of your area or wherever- hiring a fancy sports car for a day with a meal out en route, private coaching for golf- depends what he likes.

An experience of some kind or a posh weekend away maybe.
