Sorry about the hiccough - no I haven't started celebrating yet I just had hiccoughs. 
I thought I would put this on the local site but then I thought no this is worthy of national coverage. Melton Mowbray is gearing up for a HUGE weekend of Christmas celebrations and its a wonderful family weekend - a great place to bring the grandchildren. Friday night (4th Dec) starts with a fun fair and Christmas lights and tree switch on in the market square with the most amazing firework display at 6.45pm. All weekend the Christmas tree festival in St Marys Church (£2 entry children free) has 1000 lit Christmas Trees the biggest in the country we think and a really magical experience. A huge Victorian street market (100 stalls) is on all weekend with rides, street food, music and entertainment. Its well worth a trip out and the weather forecast is quite mild I hear. Be lovely to see some of you over here.
