Good morning from South Yorkshire. Started off nice and sunny here, but now grey and horrible. At least the wind has calmed down. Off to see 'The Lady in the Van' this afternoon.

Good morning. Lovely in Birmingham today and less blustery than yesterday thankfully.

The wind blew itself out overnight and left us with a dull overcast morning.
Nice lunch food wise yesterday, friend predictably bored us to bits with an hour and a half of her wonderful family, their outstanding achievements and their largesse toward her.

Bright and calmer here in mid Essex after a very windy night. Delivery from Sainsbury's this afternoon. I only wish the stuff could stow itself away.
kitty as you say no contact from PRINTMISS. Perhaps we should start a thread to see if anyone has any information?

I was surprised to wake up to sun and calm. We had strong winds and some rain over night but nothing like some areas.
Hope nobody's property was damaged

Good morning. Everything looks calm here after yesterday.
While I was at choir last night the wind was howling dreadfully around the school and rattling the roof but it seemed to calm down quite quickly.
I hope every one else is OK.

Good morning from a sunny Colchester. Barney has cleared a lot of the leaves from our garden and a chair has blown over. It has also pushed me into finally ordering a new latch for our electricity meter!
Housework and a garden tidy up today and rain is due later.

Barney didn't get this far north! At present Tynedale is calm but overcast and damp. Unfortunately 80mph winds forecast for later in the day. Well, we'll wait and see. Making preparations for my journey to Scotland tomorrow.

We have the calm after the storm this morning. It's quite mild too though there is rain forecast for later. We have no damage as far as we can see but did have difficulty opening the front door for all the leaves in the porch. DD3 lost 50% of her fence.

I hope everyone escaped unscathed and has a good Wednesday.
