avantages of getting older

There's lots of things not to like about getting older but there are advantages.

I notice it because of what our DD has to do and we thankfully don't have to.

Participate in Halloween
Organise children's parties
Take children to the dentist and watch them cry
Be expected to run a home and family whilst doing a full time job. When I say expected I mean it's the trend.

I don't miss any of these things.

The advantages of getting older - I don't need to get my hair coloured any more, I can behave outrageously and nobody cares, I wear what I want without worrying, my DC and now my DGD's roll their eyes at me constantly .... result!!, I absolutely love being a Grandma, DH and I still like each other as well as love each other and, finally, I really don't care what people think about me any more ... I'm really enjoying this 'third' age.....smile
