Well, someone is. Not sure it's me.

Meantime, we live in the here and now. And things need sorting. We are writing history.

Yes. Eggs do have outsides. And insides. And there's a nice warm one in my tummy right now.

It does bring home the smallness of our existence.

In 2145 the present wars and upheaval in the Middle East will be just as perplexing as the killing and hatred which happened in England between Catholcs and Protestants in Tudor times. (and other pointless wars)

It'll just be another topic for students to discuss.

(My year is egg shaped too - on it's side, pointy end to the right which is where Christmas is, winter at the bottom, summer at the top and the weeks marked out along it.)

soon - What a liberating thought! We should enjoy our lives and do what we want (if it's legal!). No one in 2145 will ever know or care!

Yes, it is a very humbling thought, isn't it soon. Our insignificance in the great picture.

No, not an error!
More of a here today, gone tomorrow, when looked at from a century's perspective.

No one alive today, will be alive in the year 2145. No one. No matter how great or small. No matter what they do or dont do.

We will be looked at in the same way we look at people born in say 1745.

Eggs have outsides.

I see certain words and letters as colours. Monday is red and so is M, Tuesday is blue, the letter 'R' is green.

Numbers are 3-D arranged in a kind of scaffolding with single units on the lowest level, 10's on the next, etc..

Just being a bit of a blip...

Time is linear for me. There is no beginning or end.

People being blips that extinguish along the line.

I clearly have no imagination.........

I am one of those who don't think of sequences in colours or shapes. I just think 'thoughts'. I remember once on a 'language' course being told that you cannot think without language. However I have many thoughts which make me feel and react but if I were to try and describe them using language I would fail miserably.+

I am glad that I don't have colours for days which seems an over complication. I have a hard enough job with the fact that calendars nowadays rarely show Sunday on the left as the first day of the week which makes life difficult when my week always starts on the left with a Sunday and marches to the right ending on a Saturday!

My year goes in a circle but I think that is logical since the seasons go round in a circle or cycle. I see the seasons as colours but that seems to make more sense for me as they reflect what happens to the flora in their cycles with the golden and light green of spring, the differing greens with all the pastel shades through to the deep reds of summer, the lovely orange, reddish brown tints of autumn and the dark grey, black and silver shot through with pale blue of winter.

I am enjoying the autumnal colours at present, they have been spectacular this year.

I too see words in colour. Not just the days of the week and months of the year, but people's names, numbers and, well, anything really. For instance Susan is yellow, Rebecca is green, James is dark blue, Ian is light blue. Monday is a kind of rusty red, whereas Wednesday is a dark red. Tuesday is a sort of silvery colour, Thursday is cream. Friday is orange.
Synaesthesthia seems to be a 'thing' in my family - my mother had it, as does my sister and my son. Those without it don't know what the heck I'm talking about .
I've often wondered whether the colour thing links to very early learning, where our first reading books were brightly coloured and the alphabet letters would all be individually coloured. Is it this that suggested words should be represented by colours? Not necessarily the colours we saw in those first reading books, but the concept may have originated with them.

I don't get it either but I just asked OH and he says he sees them in a circle rather like a clock face but they go anti clockwise round with Jan at 11 and Dec at 12 .. weird

I knew a lady who was totally blind who was like this.

Maybe it's an artistic mind at work here. It's not something I've ever thought of. I also rarely dream in colour and its usually colour I just happen to notice.

Sunday is blue for me, and so is Thursday. Friday is black.

Daisy, that's interesting. We both see Sunday as black! I don't coincide with yours or Ana's colours for the other days though.

I read a book about someone with synaesthesia some time ago. I didn't really "get it" and still don't. I think this may mean I have very little imagination or I'm just plain old boring.

No, NanKate, if I have an appointment on a certain day I don't see the colour. It's only when I 'view' the day or week in my head - hard to explain!

My year is an upright circle. December is at the bottom, then January starts to climb up the left-hand side, to June at the top and so down the other side again. My weeks go round so I can 'see' a fortnight ahead. Monday is pink, Tuesday orange, Wednesday green, Thursday light brown, Friday dark brown, Saturday purple and green, Sunday black. I can't remember a time when the days of the week didn't have these colours. I wish I could hear different musical keys in colour like some people can.
