Goodness! I am impressed. I did my degree at 40 and there were several sixty is one things in my class so perhaps that's more common than we imagine.

I think its probably all about attitude. There are some who think anything is possible while there is breath in their body. I admire that but I'm less confident than that.

Well Mollie, I was fishing around, looking for a new job when I became disenchanted with nursing. The National Trust were willing to train me, and I was in my late fifties. Therefore, I think your SiL is right. By the way, I stuck to nursing and didn't take the NT up on their offer.
