Hi everyone - just a quick update for all you lovely people who helped during the panic times (DD's not mine!!).

She had a cyst which was drained there and then. So one very happy DD and her DH are out having a lovely lunch! Being DD1 though, she did faint during the mammogram as the nurse was explaining how the rest of the appointment would go. I really had to restrain myself while I was on the phone to her imagining her swooning but unable to go to the ground as she was suspended by one boob. grin

Again, thank you GN!!!

Great news kitty It sounds exactly the same as happened to me - a cyst drained there and then. The relief was enormous.

Yay! So glad to hear it's just a benign cyst. And I totally agree with the sentiments here about mammograms... aaargh! And I especially agree with the 'willy' comment! Hee hee!

What a relief for you and your daughter, kitty.
I had a call back after a routine mammogram last year, all clear.
My friend has an appointment for the one-stop breast clinic at our local hospital on Friday, as she discovered a thickening in her breast last week.
I am taking her out to lunch tomorrow, to try and keep her spirits up.

What good news kitty. I am so pleased everything turned out fine. I went through exactly the same thing in the summer, and know how worried she must have been. I didn't faint though.smile

My sister lives in America and recently she had a call back for a second mammogram, then she was called back for an ultrasound scan; now her radiologist wants her to have an MRI and has recommended a biopsy of some microcalcifications. Her doctor has told her that she doesn't need am MRI or biopsy and to return for another mammogram in six months. She's been beside herself with worry, but is trusting the doctor. She finds it scary that the professionals disagree, but in litigation-aware America she thinks the doctor would hedge his bets and encourage her to have the additional procedures if he wasn't absolutely certain that she's okay to wait.

Mine are small too and it doesn't half hurt. Also my ribs are still hurting after being pressed against the machine. I had to be almost dragged there kicking and screaming last time as it hurt so much. I can feel a panic attack coming on as soon as the grippers grip and have to avoid the urge to rip myself out of the thing.

Had to laugh on Monday when the Mammographer said there would be a better method widely available if men had to have their willies crushed on a regular basis !
