Suggested by jings of jangly fame. If you want to take part, post your age and what region of the country (or which country!) you live in.

I'm still 59 until next month and I live in Argyll, Scotland.

LOVE this thread. I've met a few of you over the years but so great to 'meet' more on here.

As for me...I am not dissimilar in age to Pittcity but started late so have a DD and no GC. Northern and proud but have lived in London since university (so an awful lot longer than I did in Manc) but then they do say "you can take the girl out of Manchester but you'll never take Manchester out of the girl." One husband. One goldfish. Usually to be found exercising or with my nose in a book.

Do you still count your daily steps, Cari?

Grannyknot Tue 13-Oct-15 16:00:40

Here's me. Taken on my 66th birthday in July (so I'm also a forty-niner). I have: a husband, 2 children, (1 of each) and 1 grandson. I live in SW London.

Grannyknot Tue 13-Oct-15 16:01:30

That's not my house by the way! That's the posh country hotel where we went for tea.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 13-Oct-15 16:34:22

shysal I do indeed. Somewhat obsessively. Apparently. Still, 135,000 last week so I think I deserve a lie down with some of LucyGransnet's birthday cake

I am 71, this was taken earlier this year. I am am Geordie, born in the North East, then lived in the midlands and the south coast. I moved to The Outer Hebrides 10 years ago. I have 3 DD, 2 GC and 1 GCC

TriciaF Tue 13-Oct-15 18:17:07

Lovely picture Newist - we Geordies love the outdoors.
But the Outer Hebrides - a bit too fresh for me. What do you do in winter?

newist Tue 13-Oct-15 18:27:51

TriciaF I just try to keep busy, until we get some good weather

grannyactivist Tue 13-Oct-15 18:39:56

Great photo newist, are you kayaking or canoeing? We have a tandem fishing kayak - I love it.

newist Tue 13-Oct-15 18:56:21

Its a sit on kayak named Tinkerbell, I fish also, just towing a line, great fun

lefthanded Tue 13-Oct-15 19:14:21

I'm 64, male (^for those of you who haven't been following the other thread^) and a retired Civil Service IT Specialist. We have always lived in South Wales. I have one grandson who is six going on sixteen, and I'm sole carer for my wife who is disabled due to osteo-arthritis in her back, hips and knees. The picture is our wedding - 24th May 1975.

Anya Tue 13-Oct-15 19:21:55

Not had time to read whole of thread, but is lefthanded the first granddad to post a photo? Brave man. Lovely photo too but I've had to stand on my head to see it smile

Ana Tue 13-Oct-15 19:24:30

Did you? I only had to have a quick lie-down! grin

Yes, come on crun, Grumppa and feetlebaum (and any more men I've left out) we'd love to see you!

Lona Tue 13-Oct-15 19:28:32

No Anya, several others have, Pompa, Pete, and I can't remember!
grin

lefthanded Tue 13-Oct-15 19:41:31

Yes - sorry about the sideways picture. The original on my PC is correct so I don't know how to fix it.

Ana Tue 13-Oct-15 20:00:16

Not on this thread, Lona!

(I do remember what Pete looked like though...sad)

downtoearth Tue 13-Oct-15 20:47:59
