Well thankfully I don't have to upset myself about the calories in that tart, because I cannot abide peanut butter and wouldn't eat a slice if you paid me grin

Here is a calorie-free slice for anyone interested!(No photo of Nadiya's)

I made something very similar for Boxing Day dinner last year, 1000 calories a thin slice....but it was delicious grin

The tart did look quite big - it would probably serve more than 8-10; I wouldn't think you could eat much of it as it would be very rich.

Perhaps we should make a virtual one and share it with other Gnetters?

You mean you've only just noticed? smile

You only have to watch the way celeb chefs on telly shovel salt, fat and sugar into their recipes to see that food isn't necessarily healthy just because it's home-cooked. A healthy diet is about what you eat, not who cooks it.

This just goes to show the ridiculousness of the programme. People would be either unable to afford the ingredients, or would stuff themselves on it and get fat. hmm

I wonder how these bakers have afforded to do all this baking at home as practice runs and indeed who they get to eat all this often high calorie stuff.

I fancy myself a bit of a baker and have been glued to this series of GBBO. Like many others I was drooling at the sight of Nadiya's chocolate peanut butter tart and after someone posted the recipe on another thread (thank you) thought I would take a look.

I have just worked out (thanks to my fitness pal) that in that one tart are... 9,449 calories! It doesn't say how many it serves but most large tarts I make serve 8-10. So best case scenario it's 945 cals PER SLICE.

Not sure I will be making it after all sad - looked far too good to stop at one piece
