£ months today is Christmas Eve - must put the sprouts on. The weather man says it will be a nice weekend so that's good. smile

As far as I am concerned Autumn starts after the clocks change. Keeps me sane!

chelseababy I just looked up an Indian Summer and you are right. There needs to be a killing frost before we can have an Indian Summer. I'd never heard of that before, so thank you.

When we got to this stage of the year my father in law used to 'cheer' us all up by saying, "It's all the way down to Christmas now."
