As it's a nasty grey drizzly Monday morning, I thought I'd be productive and make a Lentil Curry/ Dahl. All going well and ingredients bubbling away gently on the hob, but getting a bit " curriefied" so switched on the extractor fan over the hob. Bad move, the new double oven on the opposite
side of the kitchen, switched on it's cooling fan !! Now these two appliances are new, only installed on Sept 7th, and I never had any trouble with my old double gas oven and hob, just wanted to update them as they were 20 years old. I thought I was hearing things, but the fan was definately on and blowing cool air out of the vents, called DH to check, he agreed. I called the insurance people, who advised me to call Stoves, which I did. They could arrange an engineer visit, but suggested I wait 24 hours and see if it occurs again. The oven had not been on since yesterday to cook supper. Have I got gremlins ? Has anyone else had a similar happening ? Will wait and see how we go. The curry by the way smells and looks delicious.
