Poor Mr P is unwell, dreadful cold, I know he feels awful because he is actually taking tablets, which he so rarely does.

He has taken himself of to the sofa, which is a first for him at this time of day.
sad

In the fridge there is what is described as a "Spanish sharing platter" of 2 types of Chorizo, olives stuffed with pimento and Manchego cheese with chilli.

I sooo want to rip it open and eat it! I could easily eat the whole lot and bury the packaging in the bin blush

But that would make me a very bad phoenix !

Mine has to be chicken soup with thickest toast you can get in the toaster ousing butter, did you manage to stop yourself opening that delicious sounding platter phoenix ? we did Aldi Steak Medalions & salad for tea tonight with garlic mushrooms but had cider instead of cava envy

baubles Sat 19-Sept-15 20:20:12

Absolutely got to be Heinz Katek grin

rosequartz Sat 19-Sept-15 20:38:34

Yes, go for it. You do need to keep your strength up. Take a couple of vitamins afterwards for good measure, washed down with Cava grin

The question is 'What would Mr P do for you?'

MiniMouse Sat 19-Sept-15 21:11:26

phoenix It's OK to eat it of you're standing up, it doesn't count then wink

MiniMouse Sat 19-Sept-15 21:12:14

'if' not 'of' blush

Luckygirl Sat 19-Sept-15 21:14:24

Is it still in the fridge??!

Katek Sat 19-Sept-15 22:09:58

Yum!!smile

Deedaa Sat 19-Sept-15 22:17:06

It might be out of date by the time Mr P feels well enough and it would be wicked waste if you had to throw it away. Far better to eat it now grin

POGS Sat 19-Sept-15 22:25:52

She's not telling us is she. [Hmmmmmmm]

I think she has eaten 'the lot' and on her 2nd Gaelic Coffee and mints.

Morning all!

I was very good and managed to restrain myself. (polishes halo).

Well, I DID with the "sharing" platter, I'm afraid the Cava didn't fare so well blush

Yummy steak, Lidl extra matured Scottish rib eye. grin

Charleygirl Sun 20-Sept-15 10:25:32

phoenix where did you buy the sharing platter because it sounds yummy. Unfortunately I live too far away to contemplate sharing it with you! If it is still in the fridge that is!

I do hope that Mr. P will feel well enough to return to work tomorrow.

glammanana Sun 20-Sept-15 10:45:17

I love Lidl's steak selection you can't buy better imo, good choice phoenix

Anne58 Sun 20-Sept-15 11:31:38

Charleygirl it's £3 from Morrisons, although you could do a self assembly one buying the bits from Waitrose.

Would cost more though!

Charleygirl Sun 20-Sept-15 14:00:52

Thanks, there is a newish Morrisons within a couple of miles so I may give it a go fairly soon.

rosequartz Sun 20-Sept-15 15:09:42

One person's 'sharing platter' could be another person's 'dinner' wink

rosequartz Sun 20-Sept-15 15:11:10

Sorry, that last post didn't make sense at all (thinking about eating the whole platter by myself!)

Two or more persons' sharing platter could be another person's dinner grin

Anne58 Sun 20-Sept-15 18:32:33

If it is still in the fridge, I'm planning to take it to work tomorrow for my lunch!

I hàve taken some home made pea and ham soup out of the freezer for Mr P, should he still be at home.

Phoenix you can't possibly take it to work shock. Just think of the mess you'd make. You'd put greasy fingers all over the furniture. No, by far the best thing to do would be to remove the temptation completely. Give it to me now and I will dispose of it it my garbage disposal (my stomach in other words) grin
