The builders were supposed to start and complete the insulation job on our house during the first week of August. Needless to say it's the 15th September and work is still on going. The outside is finished. The inside is covered in lots of drying plaster. I hadn't realised just how cold drying plaster can make a house. To make it worse our central heating was disconnected so that they could move the radiators. I had forgotten what it was like to live in a house where you can only heat one room as we moved into a centrally heated house when I was 10. The memories are rushing back. Cold permeates every room in the house bar one and it is so hard to leave the warm room. There is wet paint in one room that simply refuses to dry because it's too cold. And goodness knows what running an electric fire constantly is doing to my leccy bill.
Needless to say today I am definitely not a happy bunny

The plasterer doesn't think anyone will come tomorrow because they'll leave the plaster to dry for a couple of days.
