Morning Mick and everyone.

Quiet heavy rain overnight in Berkshire but stopped now. Going home this morning. DH gone down to breakfast but I'm feeling rubbish so not bothered.

Good morning Mick and everyone.
Not a promising start to the day here in Chelmsford. Very grey and the forecast isn't very cheerful either. As Mick says Autumn is here sad but enjoy your day anyway. smile

Good morning from North Leicestershire!

Its been raining most of the night and doesn't look like stopping. I've got a man coming to give us a quote for cleaning all the carpets and sofas now DD3 and children have moved out. shock

Enjoy your days everyone! sunshine

Good morning from a damp south coast, we really needed the rain overnight, but it is also forecast for the day, and we have someone coming to do the garden for us. Never mind another day perhaps. Doing some more sorting out as it is we outside, I seem to create more mess than tidying! Enjoy your days.

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Been raining hard overnight and hail and thunder forecast.
Family History Group this afternoon so hope the weather doesn't disrupt the buses!

Morning all. Raining here in Cornwall. Going with a friend to make a WI centenary window display in our village post office. Then I have to get to work on the centenary cake ready for our afternoon tea on Saturday.

Morning All

Wet one 'orrible here. Pelting it down. And the men should be arriving any minute to remove our conservatory roof. The first stage in replacing it with a solid one. Methinks they may not come!

Good morning everyone from a damp Tees Valley.

Felt pretty grumpy yesterday as, having stayed in and worked all day to get everything ready for our neighbour to bring their stock over and my sister to fetch some tax papers, neither of them turned up and they didn't let us know until after 5pm. It was a beautiful day yesterday and we have tickets we could have used if we'd known earlier!

Poured with rain all night in West Devon. Now dull and cloudy.

hildajenniJ Mon 14-Sept-15 09:33:47

Good morning everyone.
We have had some rain this morning but it's fair at present. The sky is overcast and promises to drop more rain on us in Tynedale. So it's ironing for me then! I wish a robot had been invented to do ironing, it is my least favourite job.

Ahhhhhh NfkDumpling there might be a change of plans for you!!Very wet here also!! DH starts indoor bowling today, always a bad sign for the weather. I was going to get in the garden today, but precipitation forces change of plans!! Boring housework instead! DD and grandsons coming for meal tonight so masses of vegetables to prepare and pudding to make, so day not entirely wasted!!

HappyNan1 Mon 14-Sept-15 09:47:56

Morning everyone, rained overnight and grey today in West Midlands.
Soop hope to get pics to you today, it's very hard to get a good one of a black dog.
Off to Monday Monkeys with dgs soon smile

Good morning all. It's a dreich morning here in North Cheshire.

NfkDumpling Mon 14-Sept-15 10:15:19

The men have arrived and unloaded so much stuff I'm wondering where it's all going! The conservatory is emptied and they're now playing with scaffolding. Then they're having an afternoon off and starting early, very early tomorrow when there's supposed to be a dry break.... Until the Met office changes it's forecast, as it is wont to do!

Lona Mon 14-Sept-15 10:18:23

Morning all, anno don't you hate these dull 'nothing' sorts of days? At least the dampness has dried up!

NfkDumpling Mon 14-Sept-15 10:21:08

Not here it hasn't! (Is that what dreich means? Dull and dreary? I think it's a wonderful word and want to steal it, but not sure of the meaning)

Lona Mon 14-Sept-15 10:27:46

Just to make me a liar, the rain has started! I think anno sent it! grin

annodomini Mon 14-Sept-15 10:28:12

Yes, that's exactly what dreich means. It's a wonderfully evocative word and couldn't possibly mean anything cheerful. Lona, we seem to get a lot of this kind of weather around here, don't we?

Lona Mon 14-Sept-15 10:30:02

Too much anno! hmm

annodomini Mon 14-Sept-15 10:30:08

No, Lona, you wished it on us by saying it had dried up!

Lona Mon 14-Sept-15 10:46:00

Good morning everyone. After a very grey start the sun is coming through now. I'd better make the most of it, the rain is forecast to hit us at he end of the week.
I've got a lovely cleaner giving the house a blitz today. I usually only have her if we have paying guests so it's a treat. smile

KatyK Mon 14-Sept-15 11:15:33

Good morning. Dull, damp and chilly in the West Mids. We came back from Thassos yesterday which was hot, sunny and wonderful, to this murky city. All I ask is that I can get my washing dry smile
