what do we think of this?

I've got mixed feelings. I mostly want to say, "welcome to the real world", but also partly feel sorry for her.

Of course she's objecting. She's entitled to and has good reason. Hopefully it'll help moderate the plans which look as if they would be really bad news for the terrace on the other side. The way the law is now, whatever the neighbours or local council decide, the flats will be built. The neighbours can only hope to moderate the design.

There are at least 60 letters (under "consultation responses" in list of documents) mostly because of the size of the building and so on, but also because the six flats will have three parking spaces in total for residents and visitors, and one wall almost all glass, with huge balconies with space for entertaining, towering over the gardens of neighbours below. It will be like living onstage with parties going on in the dress circle and the boxes.

Only some of the houses have large gardens - some are in a terrace with minimal space between them and the block.
